How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Add the "Extensions" feature to Twitch Studio! Rather irritating that it's not available on the official studio software.

  2. Enabling overlay extension ("Ctrl+ Stream Kit" tested in particular but probably any) currently makes it impossible to pause/unpause livestream in web player with spacebar hotkey until "Pause" icon is clicked with a mouse at lease once since page load.

  3. Probably 95% of Bits are provided through Twitch Chat by typing e.g. Cheer100.

This way of using Bits is explained and well-known for Twitch viewers. Not allowing Twitch Developers to use the same functionality is a direct limitation and provides an inconsistent user experience.

For example, let's say we have a game called "Racer". Join the race with bits and race against other viewers. Viewers type racer100 in Twitch chat and join the race.

Every developer gets a certain code (racer) similar to the extension name, and the amount determines the action. The action list is communicated with !racer, more…

  4. There is a very large community that makes content for Twitch directly from your PS4 or Xbox console, and we do not have all the advantages that streamers have from PC, developing "exclusive" extensions for streams from console can help this community too much.

  5. Add it so I can make a comment to the twitch streamer without having to DM them on discord or whisper, please.

/comment Care for [user] being toxic in chat with [ ] .

Just would make things easier IMO and helps a lot if the streamer gets issues with running discord or any other issues.

  6. Today extensions (overlay extensions) are only available on certain web browsers (for PC/MAC).
Make it available/work on all browsers.

Today extensions (overlays) don´t work on mobile and tablets (apps).
Make it available/work on mobile and tablet apps.

Please also find a way to make extensions synced, be able to be used in replays/VOD´s/Clips.

  7. I think a pronoun extension would be great a lot of streamers are using the chrome one but if it were a twitch extension you could view on all
Browsers and hopefully on the mobile app.

  8. I am curious why Twitch streamers are limited to 3 panel extensions. I hope there is a good reason, cause I feel like 5 sounds like a better number. There's a lot of super awesome extensions out that I can want to utilize, but the limited # prevents that. Any reason why it's limited to 3, and could it be expanded?

  9. When an Extension goes through constant improvement cycles the Extension versions start to pile up on the developer dashboard. There doesn't appear to be a particular order in which the versions are displayed so it becomes a tedious task to find the latest one just by looking through the small semver text on the thumbnail.

  11. Make it possible to add editor credentials to another Twitch user to edit one's overlays and select the one in-use. Make it possible to add editor credentials to another Twitch user/account to edit one's overlays and select the one in-use. It would avoid security issues from sharing passwords in order to create/edit/select overlays.

  12. Right now if a twitch extension gets denied and needs developer to re-submit, the review notes are all gone. It would be great if for the same extension it would keep the review notes. I had an app that had a backend issue that I resolved, but I had to re-submit the app (didn't upload any new files or change anything), and the review details was empty.

  13. A system similar to what Steam has: Trading Cards that can be unlocked by engaging with the streamer. (Requires the streamer to have such feature enabled; The streamer can design and upload their cards and set conditions such as drop rate, how to get them, say by following, subscribing, donating etc.)

Each user would have their own trading card menu in their personal dashboard, to check which have been unlocked, from which streamers, etc.
Viewers can also trade cards with others if they have doubles, etc.
Collecting all cards from a streamer could also unlock a badge or whatever the…

  14. The current small number of merch-selling extensions are not very good or reliable, but developers aren't allowed to build any extensions to compete with them.

  15. The new purple screen of death that's been happening to a lot of people obviously doesn't work as intended and should be removed until it does. I miss a lot of streams because it pops up randomly. I never use adblock on twitch. I use BTTV and FFZ. That shouldn't be flagged as 3rd party tools that affect the stream performance negatively.

  16. None of my panel extensions show up anymore. They were working before, but the cards appear empty now. In extension manager they do show up, but the configuration pop-up is empty.

Edit: They do show up when I'm not logged in. But how do I configure them if I can't see them when I'm logged in!?!

  17. The extension Icon is too close to the “Chat” title, the logo we provided is for all the twitch platform, so it’s seems like problem on twitch end…

  20. I have idea for Twitch related service (including extension) and I would love to charge streamers whose using the service, by flat amount or by calculations of number of viewers/subs.

The project would consist of 4 parts: the Twitch extension, few cloud services, app installed by the streamer and website for promotion and payments. While I don't think I can charge streamer via Twitch for installing the extension on their channels, there is question: Can I charge the streamer for using the associated app/cloud services?

I imagine the client side app (on the streamer side) in order to work properly…
