How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  1. Proposal for Twitch Shop Integration

    Dear Twitch Team,

I hope this requests finds you well. I am reaching out to propose an exciting opportunity for Twitch to further empower its creators and enhance the overall user experience: the creation of a Twitch Shop platform.

As the popularity of live streaming continues to soar, Twitch has established itself as a premier destination for content creators across various niches. However, one area that remains largely untapped is the potential for creators to monetize their influence directly through product sales. Inspired by the success of platforms like TikTok Shop, I believe that implementing a similar feature within Twitch…

  4. Every extension panel and/or overlay should have an option to globally disable it.

Every extension panel and/or overlay should have an option to globally disable it. There is some content I simply will not ever engage with. It's a waste of my time, my UX, and your servers to continue to serve me dead ends. You can even measure this to inform a streamer of the effectiveness of their extension choices, empowering them to make better choices. Lord knows you profit from all the bit extensions and whatnot, so doesn't it behoove you to ensure their employed effectively?

  5. Audio volume level

I would like an extension for twitch that visually displays the volume of the selected audio source in the stream! For example, in a left-right audio bar.
Maybe there is such a thing, I haven't found anything similar among the extensions.

This is a repost because twitch declined this the last time it was brought up after having almost 7 THOUSAND people vote for it and yet we see them opening/approving and investigating recommendations which are only in the HUNDREDS of votes.... Seriously?... ontop of this, even the overlay extension OVERLAY EXPERT recommended this previous recommendation, how long are you going to ignore the community?

Twitch needs to; Allow overlay extensions to overlay the video on mobile

Please allow overlay extensions to overlay the video on mobile too.

  7. Remove extensions that don't work please. Beginers need some fresh extensions.

Remove extensions that do not work please. I tried for 3 days to get 16 to work. 4 worked properly.

I got into the code on a Instagram extensions and just put my name from Instagram in properly and it worked. But it did not save.

Please remove the extensions that do not work and or a security issue.

Then if it's possible to give the people who are starting out access to some that work.

At least make a group of CERTIFIED people that can make legit overlays, components, and panels.

  10. Extension Sound Alerts approved by Twitch keeps muting sections of my stream for possible copyright - this needs to be fixed

If a sound Alert extension is approved by twitch to be used by the streamer to give his/her community more interaction, then the sound alerts chosen by the streamer should all be approved for playing during stream without the vod playback being muted in sections where these sound alerts are being played especially when viewers are using bitties to play these sound alerts.

  14. Let extensions submit events to EventSub, mimicking rewards

I started researching how to make a Twitch extension, and for the life of me I cannot find any capability to submit events to be listened to by clients through EventSub (or PubSub).

Being able to do this would relieve simple extensions from having to rely on their own hosted server, but could instead rely on the transports Twitch already provides.

At least with EventSub this seems like a reasonable connection, as it would be a specific subscription, meaning events from extensions wouldn't show up unless specifically asked for.

I believe this is not possible today as there is no…

  19. Start a Rerun and General HELP!

Honestly! I am posting all over these pages as I CANNOT find anywhere where a streamer can actually fill out a form to Twitch to ask for help! This should not be so difficult for us streamers. Really, can someone please come back to me and tell me where I would either a) Fill out a form asking for help; b) Report abuse/trolling? Really, this is not a great experience at all. All I am trying to do is find out why I cannot find the "Start a Rerun" extension? I have just come out of hospital and want to…

  20. Extensions: Prevent IP leaking and DDoS blackmail

Extensions can currently be used to leak IP addresses.

Currently there is a host of scammers who create follow bots who idle in streamers chat to bait the streamer to visit them, steal their IP address and in turn send blackmail messages that threaten to DDoS the streamer unless they pay a ransom.

A system needs to be created to prevent this. Something like:
    - An option to disable extensions globally
    - Have viewers approve extensions before they are enabled on streams
    - Have Twitch manually approve developed extensions before they can be added to stream pages

    Telling all streamers…
