  1. My internet can't handle 720p reliably. I watch at 480p all the time.

Lately I have been getting some adds that have ONLY 1080p. They can't be skipped. An they absolutely kill trying to watch any stream when this happens, because of the buffering.

The buffering on these 1080p forced ads causes them to take several minutes to complete even a 30 second add, because of the buffering. A 90 second 1080p-only add takes over ten minutes because of the drastic buffering! For a "90 second" ad, over ten minutes in reality!!! That is beyond disruptive, it's not worth watching…

  2. One of the streams I follow was doing a sponsored stream. The Followed Channels pane (in the desktop web page) showed that channel with a giant billboard ad below. It was also pushed to the top of the list. An obvious promotion of that channel (read: sponsor) by Twitch.

There was no way to hide the sponsor card to make the stream look normal. I ended up unfollowing the streamer just because it was so annoying to look at.

It's a bad look on Twitch as a whole. (And it's offensive to users that are paying not to see ads…

  3. 90 second preroll ads are making it hard for me to find new content creators. I would love to check out peoples streams to see if it is something I might be interested in but watching 90 seconds of ads jut to be able to see if I like the streamer is too much.

  4. The Doordash (AU) Ad and Colgate gate Ads start off (and remain) so loud it actual hurts my ears and I have mute it. I don't mind it running, but does it have to be THAT Loud. (It's not just in comparison to 1 quiet stream, it's loud compared to every stream I watch)

  5. I like the idea of audio ads because i can still watch the streamer gaming or doing whatever, but they seriously need to be turned down. It says that Audio Ads will match the volume of the stream. That is entirely false. Every time i have gotten an Audio Ad it is significantly louder than the stream volume i have the stream I'm watching set to. Love the Idea, but they need to actually match the stream volume in order for me to be 100% on board with the idea.

  6. Allowing the option on your Streamer Dashboard Manager and change it so VIPs and Mods don't get ads would help them be able to manage and moderate the chat and communicating with the streamer with issues in chat better.

  7. On the positive side, Turbo subscription is a great idea. Especially now that you have so many "always on" channels. However, $15.99 is just too much. Lower this to $9.99/mo, maybe with a yearly contract and you'd have me signing up.

  8. Mature content on Twitch has become the hottest of topics as of late especially when it comes to ad space and advertisers in general.

My thought being why can't we have our cake and eat it too? Why isn't there a way to have an adult side of Twitch, Twitch After Dark or something, with ads that would target the specific audiences. Obviously not advocating for full on adult films on the site but a place for the more mature streamers/viewers who want to show content/take in such content.

With the correctly targeted ads for the right age groups I'm…

  9. There is an issue where an ad will play and no audio for the ad is present- either from the following

    1. The audio for the ad isn't played til the next ad starts
    2. audio doesnt play at all until the ads are over

which after either of these finish the audio to the stream is out of sync / delayed to the point that you have to refresh the stream. Guess what happens next..

    1. Rewatch the same ads you just watched just before the issue happened
    2. Watch new ads that make the audio for the stream de-sync again

    hope you…

  10. Crypto and Alkaline water ads is all I see now. This sort of advertising is some weird and unscientific jank that should at very least be removed before y'all have to defend these choices.

  11. Remove ADs on Twitch Prime subscribers. This was already part of the subscription deal and revoking that and demanding a second subscription is ludicrous, completely turned off of this platform now and will be going to YouTube where guess what? I can pay one subscription and get no ADs.

  13. Seemingly, nine times out of ten an advert will play the second you view a stream and I believe this strongly deters people from watching.

If I see a streamer enjoy and click their stream, I am all but guaranteed an advert before I even start watching. My general reaction is to immediately close Twitch and open Youtube or turn on the TV.

I'd rather be watching the streamer I opened Twitch for, but I don't want to immediately have an ad the second I join any stream. Using television as an example; there are plenty of adverts, they're annoying,…

  17. I live in Toronto, Ontario. I am 25 years old and have/had suffered from bulimia in my lifetime. I do not feel like is a unique issue, especially considering the demographic on this website. I do not know why or how, the GO Train ad go approved for this website. I would really appreciate not seeing that while I am trying to feel comfortable and safe.
The ad is just very insensitive for people with eating disorders. It is also a known fact that hearing or seeing other people vomit, induces vomiting. Why would that ad be made then, what…

  18. I'm not sure this is the right place but I need to put this out there. There is a specific, local, ad that plays during every ad break. This ad includes multiple people pretending to vomit. It's so disgusting that I have to mute whatever I'm watching as the sound is actually stomach turning and it continues throughout the whole ad. I get the point, but it's gut wrenching. Any option that will allow me to NOT see this ad again (I've already subbed all I can lol) would be great but I can't seem to find anything like 'don't…

  19. I noticed in a recent stream that moderators that arent subscribed to the channel still experience blackout ads (ads that mute stream) i believe that this can hinder the job of a moderator, i know chat is still seen but there isn't necessarily communication with the streamer. this can create issues within streams. Either this option, or possibly free subs for currently promoted moderators.
