Preferred/Disliked ad categories
I would really like it if ads were categorized based on content; I love seeing ads for things like pizza and restaurants, but I HATE having to sit through an unskippable ad for a horror movie/show. If ads were categorized, there could be a section in Twitch options where I could move different tags into "show me more" and "show me less" status based on what I do or don't want to see.

Agree please! Tuning in with my child next to me is near a nightmare, let alone endorsing a stream of ours with their face/voice featured on the stream. Mortifying to say the least.

Family Friendly Streamers are forced to advertise Ads that are NOT appropriate for the 13 y/o age requirement for twitch, let alone for family friendly streamer.
Can we please have an option to either not run ads (and just lose that revenue) OR a family friendly ad genre.

I absolutely agree. The millisecond I see a (triggering) ad, I am 100% done with that program/channel/service. If I wanted to feel bad, I would have turned on the news: Since I didn't, I came to Twitch to unwind. You can't relax if all of the bad is forced on you the second you reach Twitch.

I would love a family friendly option for family friendly streamers to filter the ads that are played on our channels. Especially if we are forced to have ads play at different intervals we should be able to filter what is played to a degree. A category that is rated pg13 and/or family friendly, for those Twitch members who fall in line with the age limit for having a Twitch account as well as family friendly content creators, would help classify ad content as family friendly thus cutting out a lot of if not all of the inappropriate ad content being played on our channels without our control or consent. We should not be forced to view inappropriate content on a channel we specifically chose for being family friendly, or force our viewers to do the same on our family friendly channels.

There is a swedish ad that offends me.. two guys are literally going at each other such ads are not suitable for non-mature and there is a lot kids watching Twitch. Let us block/report ads that we consider not suitable.

Block adult content would be preferred. I can get behind Sharmin, Kodo, and G-fuel. Dump any Amazon-self ad's for violence and destruction. Having the Boyz come up every 30 seconds is a BIG Turn off.

There are certain ads that are really inappropriate for me or for certain age groups, and if there was a way to click something on the ad screen to make it so specific ads would stop playing for your account would be great.
Like the "The Boys" show commercials for example, that is a show that has very core central content that is very triggering for me and others I know. I don't want to think about that show, I don't want to see ads for that show every time I try to load streams or during ad breaks in those streams, and if I was watching YouTube for example - or even a couple other platforms for video content - I could there is a thing I can click to make it so that a specific ad will stop being shown to me.
Yes, it trains their algorithm to show/not show me specific categories. But while it would be cool for accounts of minors to be able to not be shown ads for more mature audiences or whatever, that seems fine - I would really love to be able to get away from specific ones...

Certain topics of ads may be inappropriate or triggering to some users. For example, I would like to be able to not be shown ads containing images or references to alcohol, including ads for events hosted or sponsored by brands which produce alcohol.

I find some advertisements moderately offensive and I would prefer to be able to skip to another ad or rate the ad poorly so I do not keep seeing it. I think an advertising rating system and disable option would be helpful and it might provide helpful data for Twitch developers as well.

Horror movie trailers should not be featured on a platform where users often see the same ad multiple times in 5-10 minutes. If you cannot set it so we don't see "The Grudge" trailer more than once an hour, you should remove it altogether. Extremely irresponsible to force users to see creepy, disturbing ads multiple times in a very short time.

The recent ad for the Netflix anime show highlights the need for better ad curation or the option for users to select a 'don't show me an ad like this again' button. Despite not using the platform to watch any anime content exploring any new channels means hearing screeching and seeing what i assume is the same length as any other ad, but feels like a marathon to me. I get that there is a market for that and I respect twitch's right to sell advertisement space but that ad really makes it clear why other platforms put so much work in to curating ads based on interests and providing users with options to flag content they don't want to see again.

Outside of the sheer volume of ads I have to watch even with a Prime account, please at least make the ads a family friendly genre. I have been repeatedly seeing horror movie trailers and ads and that is not okay. Sometimes I would have to refresh a stream due to buffering issues, and I am on the edge each time, hoping that I won't get that disturbing ad again (but alas, I do).

Why do I have to watch unwanted horror/thriller movie ads? Are you srsly thinking that is common ads topic? Then I should consider to stop using this app. I never thought twitch is this much toxic organisation. Disappointed tbh.
