Every time I click on a different stream, automatically get 30 second ad, even if I just watched one (ad) minutes before. Then after about 5 mins get another 30 sec ad plus 2 ads for 5 seconds each. Would NOT wanna switch streams after that because you will then, no matter what, get ANOTHER 30 second ad. There's seemingly no limit to it. It's greedy, and I will NEVER buy any products from those places out of sheer hatred towards ads. I don't need to see another 30 second cringy mcdonalds or gambling casino ad for the 100th time in one day ffs. Not only that, I instinctively turn off volume and switch screens to avoid them and do something else while waiting. Know what? They've made it so the ad pauses if you switch tabs. Like.... twitch staff..... greed much? Holy I might VERY VERY soon switch to Kick. Twitches greed is doing themselves in. Idiots. Are you filling your pockets as much as possible until your website fails?? or?

9 times out of 10, because of how aggressive the push is for these ads - I make note of the brands they're shoving down my throat - and I make sure to avoid those products out of spite. Honestly since this whole game with 9 million ads per hour started I've hardly watched twitch at all and haven't even been renewing the subs I had, and I will NEVER be bullied into subscribing to twitch turbo.

It's INSANE. I sub to 5 people, and switch around every month to show support because that's what I can afford. I don't mind watching ads to help support either, but I just had two sets of 10 - 30 seconds ads back to back (I sat through it to see how long twitch is setting them). "Auto ads" I'm not going to sit and watch ads for 10 minutes to get 5 of watch time. My fav streamer will run 1-2 about 12-15 seconds ads every 10-15 minutes. But twitches auto ads are absolutely out of control. Not going to give twitch $12/mo for no ads either. I can reset the auto ads by closing out and oing in thankfully, but only works about 80% of the time.

Exactly! 7-8 ads within the first minute or less of watching a channel is ridiculous! I'll never explore new channels if that continues. ****, I'll just stop watching Twitch all together.

I join a stream, and sit through 2-3 15-30 second ads. 30 seconds later the streamer decides to run 7 ads. 5 minutes later 2-4 "auto" ads run. 5 minutes after that the streamer runs 7 more ads. I haven't spent money on your site since ya'll made these changes. A year or 2 ago I was subbing to 5-10 people. Now, I switch my prime sub back and forth. You have my username. Feel free to check. I'll start spending money again once ya'll reign in the nonsense. Also, it would be nice to be able to submit this to customer support and not a public forum, but unfortunately I don't have that option so here you go.

Hope that the advertisement can be reduce, 7 advertisement to watch in a row is just too long.

9 adv aren't too many?

The amount of ads is absurd. With the way the ads have been rolling out, you have one instantly when you open a stream, and then every 5-10 minutes you get 5-10 ads ranging from 15-30 seconds each ad. Why should we have to spend over a quarter of someone streaming to watch ads?

Stream Display Ads were added, but not utilized nearly as much as regular ads.

The stream video does display above chat now while an ad is playing, but is pretty much useless for most scenarios. If you can’t hear what they are talking about while the ad is playing, then what is the point?

Get rid of this garbage allowing multiple ads. One shouldn’t have to watch 5 minutes of ads for every 5 minutes of stream because you run 7-10 ads at a time. That is ridiculous, and if it doesn’t change then Twitch deserves to go down burning. It isn’t even about the communities anymore - it’s about how Twitch can soak people more and more, it is clear that you don’t care about the viewers anymore.

Ads are out of control. 10 ads in between 20 seconds of stream time is unacceptable. The repeat ads do not want me to buy the product anymore, but actively stay away from it. If the company that takes a part of each donation from every streamer isn’t making enough revenue to keep the lights on, then you aren’t doing something right.

I totally understand the reasonings towards ads. Although, I click on a video because I want to watch that video l, not 8 ads as the live is playing. I miss a huge chunk of the stream I’m trying to watch. I get having 1-2 ads but 8 is way too much. I missed so much from the live and it was pretty upsetting.
