Announce upcoming ads in the chat
Add a feature where it announces upcoming ads in the chat as an optional feature so users can enable or disable it.
For people with 1 monitor like myself, I have no idea when ads are coming. I can talk though the ads (as they aren't short) and I have no idea no one can hear me.
I, and many others with a single monitor, use SLOBS chat overlay to see chat or other programs that overlay the chat.
If ads could be announced in the chat such as "ad coming in 10s" or something like that, the host could stop talking or pause the game instead of chatting to themselves and the viewers missing out!
I am disabled too and I simply cannot be tabbing out every few mins to see when an ad is coming next on the stream manager.
This would be so helpful!

Thanks for your feedback - we've been experimenting with improving the ad experience; and to help streamers know when an ad break is about run in a more convenient format, we've rolled out the chat countdown timer. Please note that this feature is accessible to streamers who have ads scheduled with the Ads Manager and the chat timer countdown is only visible to the streamer. A 5-min heads up message will pop up to notify you that an ad is scheduled to run, and you'll have the option to snooze or pull an upcoming ad ahead, directly from chat.
If you have additional feedback on this, please leave an idea via https://link.twitch.tv/UVAdsManager - thanks again!

I don't think ads should get much higher than -5db or so, but MANY streamers peak at -20db or less. Twitch might need to automate something to help streamers know that their volume is low / offer resources to help them learn how to make adjustments. OBS has a few tools for this built in (compressor/limiter/gain), but streamers should also adjust the volume controls on their devices to have more reasonable output.

A warning before an ad is played - say 30-60s, so you can subscribe to avoid it would make a lot of sense. That way if you're listening to something interesting it isn't cut off halfway through if you subscribe.

Sorry, but why don't you just turn up your voice in your software? There's an option for the mic in Windows and also an "add gain" filter for audio sources in OBS. Look at Youtube, there are tons of videos about optimizing your microphone quality. For me it's really annoying if a stream is too quiet because I have to turn up the whole system sound which also increases every other sound source on the computer. Better too loud than too quiet, because the user can easily turn down the level in the Twitch window - but not turn it up more than 100%. Just my 2 cent...

A visible countdown until an ad just seems like a nice user-friendly idea.

At the moment, I use streamerbot to log when my first set of ads happen and I then have a timed action in there that it kicks off to remind me 2 mins before Ads start, that they're about to happen.
Some kind of alert like this for streamers in Twitch itself would be great. Having to look at another window at the Ads Manager is ****.

Would LOVE an easier way to notify my viewers of upcoming ad breaks, but like others, I am not often looking at my Stream Manager. PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE.

Please add this to the API!

Just to add, make it so it sends a signal to the API so we can use third party programs like Kruiz Control so we can automate or send a sound signal to help with it.

I agree that having a notification in Chat, a banner, and/or something that is compatible with bots would be value-add for viewers - so that they're not surprised by an advert!

Exactly, especially since for small streamers like me, ads are literally the only revenue we get most of the time.

Came here to suggest this same thing, I am testing out the new AD schedule tool and it's been great for getting rid of pre-rolls. My community definitely prefer the occasional break over getting slapped with an AD as they enter.
I'd love to be able to link my bot with a customised message whenever an AD is about to play, or as you said have a pop up on top of the screen.
I'd like to be able to explain in my own words why an AD is about to show, and have some warning in case I'm in the middle of an important chat.
I definitely don't have Stream Manager open much when streaming as I only have two monitors. One for game, one for my SLOBS.
EDIT: Also it would be a great reminder for me to get up and stretch my legs!

Twitch has rolled out their new automated ad functionality, but I would like to know if there is a way for the ad manager to notify anyone watching the stream (perhaps via a notification at the top of chat, much like channel point challenge/hype train alerts), which would also help any streamer who reads their chat, but isn't looking at their stream manager and ensures me that if I'm telling a long winded story, for instance, that I can take that quick intermission to catch my breath and hydrate.

Du müsstest deine Stimme einfach bei OBS hochschrauben, dann geht das schon

A 5 second warning before the ad would be deeply appreciated. My voice is very quiet so many of my viewers turn my voice up. A warning can warn them to turn the headphones back down so they dont hurt their ears.
