Stop Playing Pre-Roll ads on LIVE STREAMS
Please stop running "pre-roll" ads right when a live stream starts. Every time I get queued up for a live stream about to start, as soon as it starts, I miss the first 30 seconds of the stream and have no idea what they talked about. This is especially annoying on dev streams and the like. KNOCK IT OFF, TWITCH! Even Prime users get screwed this way.

As an affiliate, I understand I'm not a large creator. However, I feel like many affiliates would benefit from their viewers not being spoon fed an arby's ad as soon as they click on the stream. Twitch needs to make their money, but creators need to grow and not annoy their fanbase.

Stop having ads play right when you click on a stream, don't have 3-6 or more unskipable ads, don't have them cover the entire screen and have the stream audio taken away. All this does is either make us click off the stream or twitch entirely, or we go to another tab and watch something else while the ad plays. Now that ads PAUSE while another tab is being used, I will be staying off of twitch unless a subscription is gifted by another viewer for now. Twitch has become a more dogshit platform than I could've imagined. You must be desperate if you're making this hasty dumpster fire of a decision when it comes to your ads. When your platforms higher ups inevitably take too many shots of metaphorical cope and get drunk on delusion, only to pass out on the ground, I will be laughing. I am not the only one praying on your platforms downfall.

Please stop showing ads immediately upon entering a stream. It completely puts people off. Every time I change streams, I see a 15 or 30second ad before even getting to see any content. If I am just wanting to pop in and see what's up, and I'm given an ad - I just close it and go to another website.
Ads shouldn't be shown immediately upon entry, but maybe after 5-10minutes of viewing. -

Pre-Rolled ad's are the number 1 reason users download an ad block. Users come to twitch for *LIVE* content and frequently the most entertaining moments are but a few seconds long. Every second is precious to both viewers and streamers in terms of content production/consumption.
Pre-Rolled ads act as a paradoxical challenge on a platform that relies on the few entertaining moments to keep users engaged. Users are frequently locked out of the content they are seeking by being subjected to grueling pre-rolled ads even when viewing a streamer you have subscribed to.
What is the point of tuning into Twitch if we are left guessing as to whether we will get to watch entertaining content or be subjected to uninterruptable ads. Why would users tune into Twitch and risk the the FOMO feeling that comes when you see chat reacting while you are watching an ad.
Why not just turn to YouTube for entertainment? At least there we have control on when we view adds and can feel assured we won't miss a second of content.
Pre-rolled ads cause more ad block downloads than any other form of advertisement. In a live stream environment pre-rolled ads only serve as a ticking clock for the exodus of users to *established* platforms that don't sacrifice content for ad revenue.
End pre-rolled ads before they take the "Live" out of live streaming.

You are KILLING interest in new streamers.
Step 1 - oh interesting
Step 2 - LOUD AD
Step 3 - Close stream and go watch something else. -

Just get rid of pre-roll ads already. They completely make me not want to watch the stream.

Most of the streamers I watch usually play on the same roleplay server, and my average viewing session consists of constantly changing channels to see the roleplay from another perspective. Pre-roll ads are the biggest annoyance for me. Every single time I swap to a new channel I'm forced to sit through the same **** 30 second ad, and miss a large portion of whatever reason I was swapping perspectives. Random mid-roll ads can be just as bad, causing me to miss entertaining spontaneous situations.
I hate ads, but if ads are absolutely necessary at least leave it to the streamer to choose when to roll them so it doesn't interrupt the content.

Pretty much what the title says. Also, instead of having the stream minimised during an ad, have the ad in picture-in-picture mode, otherwise it's just intrusive and turns viewers away. Similarly having multiple 30 second unskippable ads doesn't help either, having a small ad window eases this.
