Hi, I know that this is a very late response, but we’re hoping to find time to address this issue later this year. There are a few steps we’ll have to take to solve this problem in a way that will work for all streamers, but we understand the severity of the issue.

Yes. I'd like to have choice for wifi vs data, so the app will automatically adjust itself according to the connection it's on.

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown. You can find out more information here: https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/1603148201489580032

It's not new. Instead of BLASTING THE F*CKING ADS AT HIGH VOLUME IN YOUR FACE/EARS, how about having those small ads that appear at the bottom of the video screen.
Have a defined area so streamers know to adjust their layers around it, and it pays less but you can keep it up longer since it's NOT INTERRUPTING.
You should play twitch ads during meetings with the ad department's decision makers so they have some clue as to how bl00dy annoying it is.

You f****** need to stop playing loud annoying video ads IN THE MIDDLE OF STREAMS.
And now I'm here to help you make more money.
You know how youtube has the ads in the middle of the screen, at the bottom? Why not have those for WHEN THE STREAM IS ON so that it DOES NOT OBSTRUCT viewing?
How about we play loud ads in the middle of your f****** corpo profit meetings?
Make it fixed with fixed dimensions so streamers can work around it with their overlays.

A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

Sometimes and ad plays and the volume increases. WTF.
Who the f*** thought it was a good idea to do ad volume adjustments IN the player?
F*** OFF.
No that's stupid. The problem with ads is not ads, it's how they're implemented.
You cannot expect twitch to not make money.
So you want the broadcaster to pay for viewers? Aren't broadcasters here to MAKE money and not spend it?
