  1. Whitelist the google maps URL (https://maps.googleapis.com) for extension iframe, since Google Analytics is already whitelisted.

    It is currently not possible to add google maps to an extension due to the security policy of the iframe blocking requests.

    This could be interesting for a number of different extensions, including games as google maps includes features that other providers do not have (e.g. Streetview)

  2. At the moment we can either page through all followers of a specified user or check the follow relationship between two specified users. What we can't do is to provide a broadcaster and a list of users to get the follow relationships between the given broadcaster and the specified list of users. There is an endpoint for broadcaster subscriptions (Get Broadcaster Subscriptions). It takes a broadcaster id and a list of user ids. Please provide a similar endpoint for broadcaster follows (Get Broadcaster Follows). It would be very helpful and could reduce the amount of requests against the Get Users…

  3. Currently, trying to access a development server with a self-signed certificate gives a "x509: certificate signed by unknown authority" error.

    Being able to use development servers that are not on localhost (e.g. example.lan), would be really helpful when it comes to testing EventSub events.

  6. We have bans/timeouts on the bans topic.

    We don't have a feed for message deletions.
    Or whom triggered a raid
    Or whom triggered a host.

    Some channels have a need to track/log all moderator actions for later reconcilliation, not just bans.

    (Or tracking down a rogue mod doing hosts when they shouldn't for example)

  10. In V5, it is possible to get all emotes that existed on the platform via both
    "get-all-chat-emoticons"
    and
    "get-chat-emoticons-by-set" (when no sets are provided)

    This currently has no equivalence in Helix, and also has no listed migration path.

    This request is to create an endpoint that returns the list of all emote sets (and ideally their last update time) such as "get-all-emote-sets". This would allow a user to then get all emotes via the "helix get-emote-sets" endpoint that currently exists.

  11. With the addition of animated emotes there is no way to tell from the emote API responses of GetChannelEmotes and GetEmoteSets if a new emote ( id starting with "emotesv2_") is a normal emote or an animated gif emote without downloading it and checking the file contents.

    Would be nice to have either a "format" field that tells you "png" or "gif", or at least a "is_animated" bool field for each emote.

    We will be updating the documentation to make it clearer that the image in the payload will always be a static image. We are also planning to document the URL schema for the CDN to retrieve the animated version.

  12. Really, who approved this. We bitched about this and now you refer us to this new place, killing off the discussion thread we had before. Hoping we let it slide. You are actively creating this problem and are unwilling to fix it.

    Test was concluded, results are in. We are not nagging our external users enough. That seems to be the conclusion of last months 'extensive' testing.

  16. Yandere Simulator has done a lot changes to since 5 years ago since its been banned including censoring blood pools, nudity and panty shots to make video streams more friendly. I recommend taking second look at game for all improvements its great game and deserves second chance. I wasn't sure to place category I apologize for that. All I'm asking is for second look at game in its current state for reconsidered banned that is all and thank you for your time.

The new helix endpoint to modify channel information ( https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#modify-channel-information ) doesn't work with a user token from a user that has been added as an editor to the channel. This basicially shuts out any clientside tool used by editors where it's impractical for the broadcaster to directly authorize access. Editors should be trusted enough to be able to choose their own tools.

    Allowing access to editors would especially make sense if this is intended as a replacement for the v5 endpoint ( https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/v5/reference/channels#update-channel ), which does allow editors to update the stream title and game. It would also work…

  18. In the 'next steps' sections it mentions:

    To authenticate your chatbot in a production setting, we recommend you register your app (chatbot) and use the OAuth Authorization code flow. This enables you to authenticate programmatically. To learn more, see the Apps & Authentication Guide.

    I have created the app and can get the token, but have no idea what to use for the nick / pw. Since this is the recommended way, would much prefer an example or details on this rather than the login-as-user given currently.

  19. The Create Poll endpoint has optional query parameters to allow additional votes using either bits or channel points.

    However, it doesn't actually allow multiple votes. This can be seen in the pubsub response which explictly states that "multi_choice" (property indicating whether additional votes are allowed) is not enabled.

    When creating a poll through the web interface, it works just fine as it is created through the GQL and not the API. The GQL message also has an additional property to explicitly allow additional votes, on top of the properties that are used to either allow additional votes by bits and/or…
