Separate LANGUAGE and NATIONALITY tags People get confused as heck when you have two perceived language tags on i.e. English and German, but you're just trying to showcase that you're streaming in English but you are German.
Maybe put nationality in brackets after the nationality tag?

Adding a furry tag for twitch There are alot of diverse tags and with the new blog post there will be more tags for the LGBTQIA+ and POC communities which is wonderful. The Furry community is quite large on twitch ranging from artists to twitch partners to small time streamers. Adding a Furry tag also helps people in the furry community find and help promote streamers that are apart of that community.

62 votesThere is an option similar to what you described. If you do not agree with a certain stream being recommended to you, click on the three dots below the player and select "Not Interested". This will remove it from being shown to you again.

Add a Veteran Tag to twitch. A lot of military veterans use streaming as a way to connect to the community and re-integrate with society. This would allow other veteran streamers find and support other veterans in there pursuit of building a safe community for veterans.

I didn’t catch this thread when the tag went live, but we do have a Veteran tag now on Twitch! We actually have both Veteran and Disabled Veteran on Twitch now so you can choose which ever suits your needs.

Add Data Science tag It's past time to add the "Data Science" tag on Twitch. The demand for data science is rapidly growing in the job market, and I can imagine there are more viewers now who are interested in Data Science than a few years ago.
I hear pretty often from viewers in the Chat saying things like "I finally found the Data Science related streamer!!"
Right now it is harder for those who are interested in Data Science to find Data Science related contents and streamers.

Fitness Tag There isn't a tag that represents the fitness community as a whole. You have Sure, there are "Strength Training" and "Mobility Training" type tags, but these refer to the activity being completed. It would be an incredible way to find other streamers that live a fitness lifestyle with this tag.

ignore channel/streamer Hi, is there a way to ignore certain channels/streamers like on youtube I can choose to not recommend/show this channel to me. This is mostly because sometimes certain streamers talk about topics find unpleasant, such as about tiktok and the horrific things they see on there. I would rather not see those streamers in my list so I don't have to think about those negative things they talk about at times. (negative things are like talking about animal abuse etc)
27 votesSorry it took a while to get to answer you on this. Yes, there is. Click on the "⋮" icon below the channel (you an also do this for categories) and select "Not Interested". This will remove it from your recommendations. If you ever change your mind or make a mistake, you can adjust the channels you have marked to not show in your recommendations by going to your account settings. Thanks.

Search by Console/Platform Having a check box similar to the language check box that allows you to narrow down games/searches by console/platform would allow viewers to be more specific in their search.
26 votesApologies for the delay it took to review this suggestion. You may narrow down your search for a stream using a specific console by using a tag to filter the console you are looking for. For example, when reviewing the Sims 4 game category, you can type "PlayStation" into the tags, and that will bring up the streams using that specific console in the search results. Hope that helps.

Block categories You should be able to block a category just like you can block a stream and a user.
For example, some people don't want to see naked streams and categories in their recommendations.
24 votesJust as you can with channels, you can click on the "⋮" icon below the category that is being recommended to you either on the Front Page or in the Browse tab when filtering categories by "Recommended for You" and select "Not Interested". This will remove it from your recommendations. Representing the autistic community Hi, I would like to help represent the autistic community on Twitch. I am 34 years old, and have been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.
I have created something unique, think Marbles on Stream, but in a racing simulator, driven by artificial intelligence, and then I automated the whole thing to run 24/7.
My viewers are given a list of cars in a racing class, and they can type !play <number> in chat to pick which car their AI will drive.
Although I never show my face on stream, I believe my stream is a good representation of what someone on…

NoPixel Tag / Category Hello,
I would like for NoPixel to be considered as a tag or category for the Twitch Platform. As a NoPixel content creator, I know that a lion's share of what is housed under the "Grand Theft Auto V" category are people roleplaying on the NoPixel server.
However, with GTA 6 in development and with NoPixel hosting official servers for Rust as well as a Red Dead Redemption 2 server set to launch, I feel like this would greatly increase searchability and discoverability of content creators on the platform.

"FOSS" or "Open-Source" Tag When doing development (Software and Game Dev category), sometimes you want to let your viewers know that the project you are working on is an Open-Source project (whether you are helping a project, or you are the main maintainer of the project). A "FOSS" or "Open-Source" tag would be great for this.

Add a co-working category or tag ! The number of study/co-working streamers has increased dramatically over the last few months and co-working is likely to become a very popular niche on twitch! Many people now work or study from home and the co-working community is a very welcoming and friendly place. Please add a category or a tag so we can identify ourselves and make it easier for like-minded people to find us!

bring back languange fixed hashtag hello everyone!
im not a big fan of a new hashtag system but ive seen some good in it too
the thing is not everyone put their languange in their hashtags after the update and its hard to filter tons of streamer in a category just to find the languange that i could understand

I would like to clarify some confusion about how language works separate to tags. The stream language chosen by the streamer is independent of the custom tags applied by them. Streams matching your language selections will be suggested to you, provided there are live channels with that language selection. Streamers could add in additional values into the custom tags to help, though. For example, for a streamer who has English selected as their stream language may apply a Spanish tag to indicate they know the language as well, although it's not the primary language of the stream. Alternatively, this can help other users to indicate languages that may not yet exist in the site or stream language options to connect streamers and viewers. Hope that helps.
