Channel Views Bug With the removal of channel views - a good change, it was a redundant stat anyways - it stopped the number of channel views from going up, since it was no longer being counted. Issue being, clicking on a newer streamer's name in chat and bringing up their little user card, they will have 50-100 followers, whatever, but 0 channel views because they aren't being counted. It makes them look like they botted their followers and don't even stream. Might just be a overlook in the UI?

z index Just a small visual bug I have encountered in a very specific window size but It could be useful to fix it to prevent future clipping with other elements.
I think the emotes pop z index could be changed up to be the same z-index as other overlays. To prevent it from clipping with other chat elements, currently the stream title
I believe it to be:

Chat Memory Leak Date observed: 5/5/2022
Twitch chat is causing memory leaks. I only observed this because I was watching a streamer with 100k+ viewers and my computer crashed with 32GB of memory with all other applications closed.
In Dev Tools on a Chromium browser:
- Select "Performance monitor" in Dev tools.
- Observe the JS heap size and the DOM nodes, they progressively increase as chats are sent.
Another way to observe:
- select "Memory" tab in Dev tools.
- Use "Allocation instrumentation on timeline".
- Record and observe the memory allocation.
Note: tested on Edge and Google Chrome with all the extensions turned off.

Large sudden viewer drops all at once We are getting extremely close to being able to apply for partner and this issue is severely impacting our average viewer counts. We will be streaming just fine and then all of the sudden we will drop 30 viewers all at one time. None of these viewers have actually left our stream but it does change our viewer count and thus impacts our average. Sometimes it recovers quickly and the number jumps right back up to what it was before. But then sometimes, like today, we will drop from 87 viewers to 57 to 47, and never really recover. When…

flickering chat box As a viewer, I don't want my "send a message" box flickering, so that my eyes can be saved.
Steps to reproduce:
when watching a stream,
1. click on the "send a message" box and don't type anything
2. hover the mouse cursor over the 'followed channels' or 'recommended channels' without typing anything
3. you can notice the "send a message" box flickering between the 'clicked' & 'non-clicked' mode*It's not a big deal... but kind of disturbing.

Embedded Chat Iframe does not work in Chrome In chrome the embedded chat iframe simply displays 'failed to load module'.
It works perfectly in Edge and Firefox.
If I open the iframe src ('https://www.twitch.tv/embed/<channel>/chat) directly into a chrome tab - that works. It is only within the iframe that it fails to load.3 votes -

Cannot send the same message twice within 30 seconds even though first message wasn't sent. Description: When a message fails to send and the user is notified of the failure, the user is unable to resend the exact same message within 30 seconds of the failed message. When a message fails to be sent, the user should not be blocked from sending the same message within 30 seconds.
Reproduction steps:
1. Log into twitch.
2. Go into a stream where the user can chat.
3. Type in something in the chat and cause a failure of the message to be sent

Fix The twitch chat keeps breaking and not showing people chatting and it’s especially frustrating when I’m using the mobile version to watch chat because I have to, I’m streaming from my console most of the time and I only have one display. You can preview deleted messages on mobile version of twitch When you see a deleted message on playstore version of twitch and click reply then at the bottom of the screen you can see the entire deleted message

chat not working unless with specific roles? just curious if anyone else is having issues with chatting recently... even when being a turbo subscriber and a twitch channel subscriber I can't chat on pretty much all channels right now unless I am either a VIP, a mod or the streamer... (aka. a special role) which is kinda weird... anyone else had this issue recently?
as twitch claims that there are no shadow / invisible bans but it still feels like one tho

Android app does not recognize URLs containing "@" as hyperlinks I found an issue in the Twitch Android app related to link detection.
If a URL contains the "@" character, the app no longer recognizes it as a clickable hyperlink. The text is displayed as plain text instead of an active link.

Links with "," are broken When a link containing a "," character is posted in chat it is rendered incorrectly. The "," terminates the link.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Post a link like e.g. "https://winfuture.de/news,157541.html" in a Twitch chat.
2. Observe how the link is being rendered in chat and that it points to a different destination than intended (The "https://winfuture.de/news" part gets interpreted as clickable link and the ",157541.html" as text)2 votes -
