Fix the constant disconnecting of chat.
Getting a constant "Welcome to the chat room" message and not being able to interact with my chat as well as any other streamers is getting old. This issue has been around for 7 years at the least. It should be fixed by now

/announce doesn't show message on mobile
the message used with /announce does not render at all on mobile. If it just didn't highlight then that's one thing, but a mod message that no mobile users can see is worthless.
I was eager to utilize the feature, but without mobile users being able to see the message /announce does more harm than good and I can't use it

Verified only Chat Site-wide
It's been 10+ days i'm getting "Verified Accounts only chat" in EVERY single channel i try to chat, even in those where i'm sure the "Verified only" feature is disabled. I'm pretty sure it's either a bug or my account has been flagged in some way, because if i try to chat in those same channels with a different account i can do it without any problem.
I've also read in some other Ideas here that other users are having this bug... Unfortunately i can't add my Phone number to verification at the current time, so please look into this,…24 votes -

Lots of unicode emojis being broken due to ZWJ being filtered out
I've been looking into an issue where quite a few Unicode emojis break down when being send in the chat. This seems can be observed on both the website as the mobile client, as well as in the chat client I'm working on. The root cause seems to be that the "Zero Width Joiner" character (200D in UTF-16 hex representation) gets filtered out somewhere inside the IRC system. This will cause for example the following emoji (🧑🤝🧑) to break down into (🧑🤝🧑)
This issue eventually results in 1329 of the 3512 emojis specified in Unicode 13.1 (https://www.unicode.org/Public/emoji/13.1/emoji-test.txt filtered on…

/poll isn't working in chat
The /poll action isn't working for me on desktop or mobile. I've tried different browsers too. Not sure if it was happening to anyone else or just me. The button to open to interface shows when I type /poll but it doesn't open anything. /prediction works and all that but just not poll. I'm just a mod at the moment so I can't access the full dashboard to do it that way.

The moderation rule "Chatters without a verified phone number must have accounts older than [age]" is currently broken
I can't chat in certain channels anymore that I used to, and the streamers that I spoke to about it haven't changed any moderation settings between me being able to chat and me not being able to chat. It's a problem across multiple channels and persists across multiple platforms and apps.
The problem began on either May 25th or May 26th.
Twitch support suggested I bring up the issue here.10 votes -
Fix a absurd time bug on Slow Mode on chat
I have been with this bug for months, when the Slow Mode is enable (doesn't matter what time is set) after a send a message is shows "you can chat in (absurd time like 4h 9m)", this only happens on PC, so i can't send any message, i have to use the cellphone to send something (because the bug doesn't happen there) or ask to the MOD to turn it off Slow Mode which isn't nice when there is 1300 people watching, REALLY annoying and doesn't make sense, would be a relief if someone fix that.

Only the default announcement messages work through IRC
At the moment, only the default "/announce" chat command works with IRC (chatbots etc) - "/announceblue", "/announcegreen", "/announceorange", and "/announcepurple" all fail to send messages.

Username/emote completion weird behavior
I just came accross this bug multiple people reported in chat and only started to do it today:
While starting the sentence with @username and tabbing to auto complete the menu keeps poping up while writing https://i.imgur.com/DgJfTDJ.gif
While writing a message and then @username the auto complete menu does not popup https://i.imgur.com/xdUqFeL.gif
Edit: Actually the same behavior for emotes as well

Automated IRC messages only updating on page load
I’ve begun building an interactive intermission application for use on Twitch. Yesterday, the application was working fine.
Today I woke up and chat messages sent via IRC are not visible to users in real time.
Any messages sent by my application show up as past messages when a new user enters the chat, but no messages sent will appear in real time – they only update if the user re-enters the chat by reloading or opening the chat in a new window.
For example, if the bot sends a consecutive integer every second. User 1 joins 10 seconds after the…

Chat is not reconnected
When the connection is lost for a considerable time, when reconnecting, a button can be pressed to reload the transmission but the chat keep frozen. The quick solution is to close the chat and open it after a few seconds, but it would be good if the reconnection is detected and the chat reconnects automatically as when the connection is lost for a few seconds.

Links in chat on android
When a user clicks a link in chat.
Where the link is written as
words and stuff cohh.tv/store other words and stuff
A user in the Twitch app will click that and is redirected/sent to http://cohh.tv/store/
Which results in an error page on android
Links in chat in the App should default to https:// to avoid this issue. For links in chat that don't include a schema in the text/chat message
(I was sure I heard this bug had been fixed but it has reoccured/reported today)

FIX the Autohost system!
FIX the Autohost system!
It hasn't been working for MONTHS now. I want to support my friends and my team, and sometimes I'm not able to send a /host to my own channel.
My autohost list was carefully made, and it's incredibly frustrating it's not working! Please Twitch, this is important for people that want to support their friends, teams and the communities that they have contact with!5 votes -

O.o emoticon doesn't work in browser chat
Hello, this is a very minor bug but it confused me for a bit.
I was trying to get all of twitch's global emotes using v5 api and emoteset 0, everything seemed fine but I've noticed that this emote [oO](|.)[oO] (regex of course- might want to mention it somewhere in docs) that should match either o.o or oo only shows the emote when typing o_o on browser chat for some reason. I can confirm o.o does work on the official android app though. This is very minor and not exactly related to dev but you might still want…5 votes -
Chat switches to reverse text input after mouse hovers over recommended or followed streams
Win10 / Brave (Chromium)
Steps to reproduce: Have your cursor / focus in the chat input box. Now move your mouse pointer to hover over one of your followed or recommended streams on the left. Watch how the chat input loses focus and gets it back after you move your mouse back. Type. Tadaa: Backwards chat input.4 votes -
link parsing
The automatic link parser is rather overzealous. It currently interprets any sequence of alphanumeric characters, a dot/period, and more alphanumeric characters (with no spaces in between) as a link. As a result, any time someone forgets to put a space between two sentences, or deliberately types something like "notbad.jpg", it gets turned into a (broken) link. Furthermore, if the streamer has link filtering turned on, such occurrences will result in the entire message being blocked when there's no actual reason for it to be.
The link parser needs to be smarter. Maybe make it require either two dots/periods with characters…
