Hey, I believe the whole whispers thing should be like any social media private chat whereby you can edit and delete, also see if the recipients has read with many twitch streamers tend to not reply or show that they read your whispers.
And, where do you find this archive of whispers?

Plus with how smaller streamers tend to not read and show that they read the chat box in streams as well is quite bad. I get it if they have like 10k watching and most of the messages are like require no response.

You should be allowed to delete whispers. There should not be a way for whispers that you want to get rid of to come back into your stream. Permanent deleting whispers should be available

If you happen to send personal information it can't be deleted, I hope twitch makes an option for deleting whisper messages

Has Twitch ever responded as to why full deletion (not archiving) of Whisper messages is not enabled/possible. Not only have I received messages that I do not want associated with my account but I also may have messages that I would want to remain confidential due to personal information, incorrect messaging, personal information from others, improper messaging etc. I feel this is a legal exposure risk for Twitch in the event someone was able to hack into the system and view Whispers. Considering the amount of money spent on Twitch and streamers, I feel this is a necessity.

Totally agree with this. If someone has been banned and then reinstated into a channel, it would do much to help the person by them being able to remove any whispers having to do with that.
