Try Seri bot. If I am not mistaken, this bot was a good one to prevent such things to happen. Another tip, change the security settings, so that only verified accounts can follow a channel. In case you are not the streamer, try to talk to them and tell them that they have this options. Like this bots can not follow anymore and there is no mess in the chat.
Hope it could help, at least until there are other solutions coming from Twitch.

It sounds like the proposal made by a different user, that if she bans someone in x channel, then he gets banned in every channel she mods.
That is too much, I understand both concern, but like I said before, it would give the mods too much power on channels that are not theirs.
Even if we ban userx in channel y, it doesn't mean that streamer z agrees with the reason of the ban, and or that he wants random bans in his channel.
I understand how annoying it becomes, I am year long mod too, but that would be too much. In such cases what needs to improve is Twitch reporting tools, since even if you report for serious matters, often they don't take any actions about it. Also seen it myself.

Moderators can start/stop Raids already, but only if they have the EDIT: Editor roles.

An "Editor" is not necessarily someone that edits videos.
The "editor" in this case comes from "editorial work" which we find in written, and multimedia work. It is right that an editor takes care of this.
A moderator on the other hand, has to moderate the chat and engage with the people only.

An editor doesn't have to be a mod either.
I am seeing way too many "mods" which abuse their powers already and are thirsty for more power.

If a streamer wants a mod to take care of the Editorial part, they will give you the role. Just go and ask them. If not, live with it.

Don't forget that streaming is also a Job (even if not for everyone), it is a company, and like in every company everyone has it's own role.

Edit: Twitch explains very well what the roles, badges and so on means, and why they were created. It is te streamers job to understand how the platform works, not the mods. Mods are the streamers "employees", not the other way around. If they don't understand something, link them a Twitch page.

I can understand where you are coming from, I am a mod too, but remember that we are mods and the channels don't belong to us. Even if someone "behaved badly" in one channel, it is not fair to ban him in a different one where he didn't do anything wrong. Every streamer is different, something that might be bad in one channel, might be ok in a different one. Mods are there to help, and not to be undiscussed rulers.
We already have too many "mods" who abuse their power, we don't need any more of that. If you know that a user might be problematic, just talk to the streamer and see what HE/SHE decides to do. The decision is up to them, not to you.

Not being able to delete at least your own whispers on Twitch, is a big hole in the security for all users' privacy. I don't understand why Twitch is so eager to keep them forever. I would appreciate it if they change it soon.

    Relevant Update  ·  Twitch responded

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.

Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.

In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.

We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

    @wtf_bro99999

I think that, like someone else also wrote, that Twitch has to support the user viewer too, since often they are victim of power abuse of streamers and moderators. BUT, now my question, if someone is really rude to you, does power abuse and all, and they ban you with ID ban, why would you even care?
No one who is a victim of someone, would want to keep supporting them, or going back to them. So what's the point? Why do you want to keep watching their stream?

Let me tell you, the world is full of mean people, but what do we do? Should we go hiding ourself in the bedroom, and don't talk to anyone anymore? Why do I have to stay away from the internet, if I am not the problem, but you? How about people just starting behaving properly, so everyone can stay together? In my opinion, if you can not behave on the internet, than maybe it is you who should stay away from the internet.
I know women streamers who are being stalked, should they abandon their jobs because of some trash? Hiding in a bunker? H3ll no!

I understand your motivations, but for me it would be ****. Because as a Mod, I often watch streams without not logging in, because I want my peace, and because I saw that more people are using a bot which calls out lurkers in chat. Like greeting ppl who are in the viewer list, but haven't written yet. It is really annoying, and sometimes I want to enjoy a content by keeping my privacy, and without feeling obligated to talk or log in.
Btw, I said "as a mod", because I follow streamers who are in the same circle of those I mod, and if people see me in a channel but not in another, the drama starts.
BUT I would definitely go for it for a banned user. Also wrote this in another suggestion, Banned users not only shouldn't be able to write in chat, but also not being able to watch the stream or see the viewer list.

Hi, thanks for flagging this and sharing your suggestion.

We share and understand your concerns about how the intentional, repeated misuse of tags can undermine the purpose of the tags product itself.  Tags are an important discoverability feature for communities, and a powerful way for all Creators—but especially those that are underrepresented—to express their personal identity and creative vision for their content.

We also do not feel Twitch should be the judge of Creators’ personal or creative identity, so we typically only enforce against the misuse of tags when it is associated with other behavior that violates our Community Guidelines such as hateful conduct or harassment.

That said, as the VTuber community’s experience demonstrates, there are limitations to this approach and we are actively investigating additional steps we can take to protect and improve the integrity of the tags feature at scale, without infringing on good faith Creators’ personal choice…
