/announce doesn't show message on mobile
the message used with /announce does not render at all on mobile. If it just didn't highlight then that's one thing, but a mod message that no mobile users can see is worthless.
I was eager to utilize the feature, but without mobile users being able to see the message /announce does more harm than good and I can't use it

This issue only appears (or rather does not appear) on Android, while it works on iOS and the web.
In my situation, 50 % are on the web, 30 % are on Android, 20 % are on iOS. This means that 30 % are not receiving important messages.

June 2024, still not resolve. This includes other important mod commands as other /announce<colors> and /shoutout /emoteonly /followers /pin /poll /shield /slow.

Why isn't this in (for android at least)? Been over 2 years with this thread and Twitch staff, as usual, completely ignore important things.

It really would be nice to have parity on this feature between all mobile versions.
I always thought /announce was still not available on mobile at all until someone told me they had announcements on their Twitch app for years. But it turns out announcements are indeed added... but only on iOS.
I would really appreciate if both Android and iOS users would see announcements, not just iOS.

I also keep complaining about this to Twitch Support on Twitter and recently filed a ticket about it, but Twitch Support dismissed it.

Please fix this asap, it is not that difficult and as a mod it is annoying that important messages that are put into the announcement form for them to catch more attention of the viewers are completely missed by mobile users since the message doesn't show at all

Still not been resolved. As a lot of people like to watch twitch curled up on the sofa or on public transport using the app on a mobile device, this is a very big exclusion for them.

With /announce not working for many (if not all) mobile users, it makes what would be a very nice feature almost entirely useless. Please resolve.

This is a completely useless feature until it at least also sends a regular message on mobile.

The /announce (along with /announceblue, /announcegreen/ announceorange, and /announcepurple) command does not render any message on the Android version of the Twitch Mobile app.
This has been discovered after several members in chat, who use an Android mobile device, have not been able to see any announcements being posted in chat by the broadcaster or moderators. Thus, our confusion as to why some in chat are missing important messages.
This has been tested on a Samsung tablet running Android 12 using Twitch v13.8.0(c) for Android, at time of submitting this idea.
Test method:
1.) Using a web browser on a computer, open a channel in moderator view.
2.) View the same channel on an Android tablet running the latest Twitch Mobile app from the Google Play Store
3.) Enter in a few regular messages into chat.
4.) Enter in first /announce into chat.
5.) Enter a few more regular messages, including a message indicating a message will be shown below it.
6.) Enter in a second /announce into chat.
7.) Observe behaviorResults:
The Twitch Mobile app on Android does not show any of the /announce messages in chat. Screenshot of results: https://i.imgur.com/mgpUdBG.png -

I got the feeling, that this uservoice page is just a trashcan for us. We throw all our problems and ideas in and then...nobody will do anything for years.
Also /announcepurple and such colors are not working with IRL bots. Just if you type in directly into the chat....not fixed.
