I put together an image of what the selection on Twitch could be like: https://i.imgur.com/JDtfR4d.png
This would help clarify which game is which, similar to like Kitaru and others have suggested.
For the URL (the ID) of each game on Twitch, just add the IGDB ID at the start of the URL just like Uservoice, so for example:
/category/tetris--1 -> /category/8197-Tetris
/category/tetris-1994 -> /category/236647-TetrisAn error occurred while saving the comment

It appears that categories are manually adjusted as they are reported in the comments. So here's my suggestion.
The games of Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been split from the originals, but the names are the same, forcing you to pick based on the cover alone. Adding the suffix " - Reignited" makes this clear. None of the three games have localised titles, so just taking the default title and using it for all regions should be fine.
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/spyro-the-dragon-reignited
"Spyro the Dragon" -> "Spyro the Dragon - Reignited"
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/spyro-2-riptos-rage-reignited
"Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!" -> "Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! - Reignited"
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/spyro-year-of-the-dragon-reignited
"Spyro: Year of the Dragon" -> "Spyro: Year of the Dragon - Reignited"The same can be done with Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. The titles are again not localised so all regions use the same titles.
The first game of the remaster is missing on Twitch, but the IGDB entry is https://www.igdb.com/games/crash-bandicoot--2
"Crash Bandicoot" -> "Crash Bandicoot - N. Sane Trilogy"
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/crash-bandicoot-2-cortex-strikes-back-2017
"Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" -> "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back - N. Sane Trilogy"
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/crash-bandicoot-warped-2017
"Crash Bandicoot: Warped" -> "Crash Bandicoot: Warped - N. Sane Trilogy"I suggest using "-" as the separator for the suffix even for the first game of both franchises for the sake of consistency, and to hint more at that it's the remake of the first game, and not the trilogy itself as a package.

I had the idea before, but a much better idea for Twitch is just adding the ID from IGDB ... because my idea of adding the year will cause links to break if the year changes (when more info comes out).
Take the idea from how UserVoice has the ID of the post and category before the name in the URL.
Using the suggestion from before, using Sonic the Hedgeghog, you will get:
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/3192-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the original, ID: 3192)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/88912-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the remaster, ID: 88912)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/6231-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the 2006-version, ID: 6231)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/198248-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the ad for the film, ID: 198248)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/category/207208-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the C64-port, ID: 207208)The IDs on IGDB are very uneven in length, but it ensures that the game has a unique URL that never changes, and can be applied to all categories across Twitch, without having to do a case-by-case basis.
---
When searching for a category, the year is not listead, but including that would help a lot as well. I think it would also help a lot if consoles were listed instead of the number of followers and watchers of the category, personally at least.
So typing "Sonic the Hedgehog" would give:
Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
GEN • X360 • iOS • Wii • Win • PS3Sonic the Hedgehog (2013)
And • XONE • PS4 • iOS • PS5 • Win • NS • XSXSonic the Hedgehog (2006)
X360 • PS3 • WiiSonic the Hedgehog (2020)
iOS • Web • AndSonic the Hedgehog (2021)
C64Some notes would be if there's a port, it has a separate ID on IGDB but isn't included as a separate entry on Twitch, and could be merged with the category, which is the case of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) ID 6231, and the Wii-port ID 264886 (which was cancelled, which Twitch could take into consideration too). But then also the abbreviations must sometimes take languages into consideration, such as "GEN" would be for en-US only, but "SMD" for every other language.

Twitch should consider adding the year to the link of the category. So currently there's https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog which is merging every title of the same name.
For example the year could be added at the start so every title starts with 4 digits:
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/1991-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the original)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/2013-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the remaster)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/2006-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the 2006-version)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/2020-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the ad for the film)
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/2021-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog (the C64-port)Then Twitch could also list the year of the game when searching for a game, and also let users include the year in the search. For unknown years, that could be 0000 in the link, and ???? in the list.
Currently when you insert Sonic the Hedgehog to set a category of your stream, you get a list of many options, but none with years. Having years included would help tell them apart.
The year of release would be fetched from IGDB, just like how the titles and covers are fetched from IGDB. The old legacy links without the year could redirect to the one it was defaulting to in the past. In this case, 1991-Sonic%20the%20Hedgehog

There are currently two entires with the exact name "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" that links to the same category, featuring two different covers. One being the PS1-cover, and one being the remade cover.
Currently Spyro Reignited Trilogy has all games duplicated with a "- Reignited" variant added to it. But Crash does not.
I would suggest that Crash at least have "Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy" as a single category, which I think Spyro should have as well. Users have reported that this unified category once existed, but it really should be brought back. No need to have it for each individual game, just one single category is fine.

Twitch overall considers "trans" to be an offensive word and does not allow it in many places. This needs to be resolved. It is not a slur, it has never been a slur and should never be a slur. Censoring it, does turns it into a slur and a taboo word, which we do not want.

@thelnfernity absolutely good points, my submission could have been better. I think if I sum up both our comments it would be:
- Subtitles should be a separate layer; same style as now, but toggleable by the viewers.
- Allow the streamer and editors to edit the text, adjust the timing, change the groupings of words, and the colours of the text, outline, and highlight, as well as the position and alignment on screen. (The viewer should also be able to drag subtitles on screen)
- Since this then is a separate subtitle-track, the download can offer the original clean clip, as well as a version with the subtitles burnt-in.An error occurred while saving the comment

Adding to this, because the style of the subtitles wouldn't be supported on other platforms, having the option to download with burnt in subtitles could be an option.

Twitch actually did update the banner finally to include dynamic date and time, and it will actually show you your system's timezone regardless of language chosen, which is fantastic.
Let see if this is kept for the next banner.

I'd like to add that IGDB does support information regarding languages for audio, subtitles and interface.
However, these options can be a bit odd since it has "English" and "English (UK)". Having "English" be a general English works fine for audio when you have mixed accents, but considering "(UK)" it seems IGDB uses it to mean US English.
There's also "Spanish (Spain)" and "Spanish (Mexico)" specifically and not a more general "Spanish (Latin America)". It also has "Chinese (Simplified)" and "Chinese (Traditional)", and the same options appear for all three fields, so you can specify this for audio, which doesn't make much sense.
Languages available in Mini Metro not available on IGDB are: Bulgarian, Catalan, Welsh, Greek, English (US) [technically], Esperanto, Irish Gaelic, Croatian, Indonesian, Maori, Malay, Norwegian Nynorsk, Slovak, Serbian (Cyrillic), Serbian (Latin), Swedish (Finland), Tajik, Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong)

Hey!
This is a good suggestion thank you! This has been discussed a couple of times in the past. We can’t promise any ETA on such a feature but it would be interesting to investigate.
Our main concerns so far would be what can be included is random: should it have filters, should it be games on all platforms or only selected ones, all age ratings etc..
If you have more ideas or specifics that always helps, we’ll leave this ticket open meanwhile!
Thank you!

Another game merged:
Cube Runner (2016) https://www.igdb.com/games/cube-runner
Cube Runner (2008) https://www.igdb.com/games/cube-runner--1
Please just make a global fix, don't rely on the game's name, add the IGDB-ID to it. First one is 30128 and second one is 72964, this solves _all_ collissions.
