An error occurred while saving the comment Ivanraez commentedI have been on Twitch since 2015 and Chants have been by far the most fun addition ever done to the site, saying this as a viewer and as a mod of a medium size channel. All I want for Christmas is for this feature to return, so many people really miss the hyped and funny moments Chants created so please consider adding it back.

On 2/2, we will turn off Chants.
While this feature was popular, we observed negative impacts to minutes watched for significant groups of creators.
Experiments help us test new ideas in real time, and decide what to build next. Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!An error occurred while saving the comment Ivanraez commentedI have noticed a glitch, apparently when people join the stream several minutes later some still get the pop up to chant a message that happened like 5min earlier, that's the only problem I have noticed so far

We’re happy to announce that we have released an additional update to address these concerns. Streamers can now prevent their banned users from watching their livestreams. You can find and turn on this feature in the Moderation settings section of the Creator Dashboard, through the “Stop banned users from viewing stream” toggle.
Please note, this update 1). does not prevent users from watching livestreams from an incognito window or while logged out and 2). does not prevent users from viewing VODs, clips or highlights. We plan to explore extending the functionality of bans further, including but not limited to preventing VOD and clip playback.
In addition, we’ve made an update so that users that are blocked will now automatically be blocked from watching a streamer’s livestreams.
We will leave this thread open for your other points regarding preventing view of other content types and account creation.

We have heard the feedback in this idea & its comments and reworked chat replies to reduce noise. By allowing users to reply directly to a specific message in a thread, only the user being responded to will be @'ed, rather than the user whose comment initiated the thread. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ivanraez commentedThis makes moderation way more difficult, if you turn it off you will not know who people are talking to and when on it just clutters the chat, tagging someone if more than enough to be able to communicate.

Please fix this asap, it is not that difficult and as a mod it is annoying that important messages that are put into the announcement form for them to catch more attention of the viewers are completely missed by mobile users since the message doesn't show at all
