i think channel points are mainly used to spend it on chat, not really saving it, twitch want streamers to be creative with it i think, you can use the points for many things

This would be awesome!

Even as a streamer who barely streams, not knowing how many channel points anyone has makes it extremely difficult to gauge how much a reward should cost. It would also incentivize people to watch and engage more to climb the leaderboard if it's displayed to the viewer and not just the broadcaster.

You forgot a leaderboard type:
Leaderboard for most points spent or "redeemed" (and not refunded) in a channel. 😉

Support this at the highest level, would be a great tool for streamers to engage with their audience. Upvoted!

No Leaderboard of Channel Points because of bots?

This should of been a feature upon launching the channel points feature, why is this missing

Great ideas, especially the first two. It takes quite a bit of onus off the streamer to come up with universally enjoyable redemptions and allows the viewers/subs to enjoy themselves. This approach is particularly valuable to smaller streamers, and certainly those without many mods yet. Of course, there are diminishing returns to the leaderboard feature as the channel grows, but so will the streamer's mods and the range of creativity for channel redemptions at that point. Channel point leaderboards really should be an option, at the very least.

I would love for this to at least exist as something just the streamer can see, because if I knew how many points the average viewer of mine had, I could make my redemptions cost a more appropriate level to allow them to use the redeems more often

This is absolutely needed, especially as more uses for points are created (sounds, etc.)

there would definitely have to be some sort of way to choose whether you want to be on the leaderboard or not as some people don’t want to be called out, in a similar way how you wouldn’t call out someone who’s lurking, it’s a good idea though and would bring a lot of fun competition to a community
