Don't open a Whisper box for every open tab If I'm whispering to someone in one chat, I don't need a whisper box opened on every other open Twitch tab. If for some reason this is necessary behavior, It would be nice if all the whisper boxes would close if 1 is closed.
The way it works now, I have a useless whisper box still open, that needs to be closed manually, on every other tab.

You get a whisper timeout that is far over the limit if u lightly spam whispers. been timed out for almost 12 hrs, Make it a 10min-1hr timeout max, Out here unable to reply to semi-important whispers and its just dead ovr

Allow more emotes to be visible in the whisper window When selecting emotes to attach to a whisper, only a couple lines of emotes are visible, which is a pain when you have 100s of emotes to choose from. A resizable window or a large pop-out would accommodate this much better.
The ordering system also lacks consistency. The main reason the small window is an issue for me is it's difficult to find my own channel emotes, which I wish would just always stay at the top.

Whitelist whispers from your followers / subs only setting Similar to the setting to Block whispers from strangers. Have a secondary option that re-allows whispers from your followers, or a higher level your subscribers only.
"Want to be famous" bots have been circumventing filters in chat by whispering creators. There are legitimate reasons to want to have whispers open to your community, but currently the only option is to block whispers from strangers. A creator can't go around and follow/friend everyone of their followers.
A reason for including sub only (in addition to followers) would be reducing chance of harassment as subs are less likely to.

Add a Whisper button to the channel page :) Currently the only way to whisper to someone once you are on their channel's page is to type their handle, or try to copy and paste it, into a new whisper. It should be easy enough to whisper to someone either via a nice button like the heart and bell, or perhaps an option hiding behind the triple dots.

Minimized whispers on the website should not make player controls inaccessible When sending a whisper on the website, the minimized whisper makes the player controls located on the bottom right inaccessible when in theatre mode. This way leaving theatre mode without the keybinds is only possible after closing the whisper. Moving the minimized whisper slightly to the left would resolve said issue

pop out whispers give the option to the user to pop the window out, so it is not blocking content, and/or controls

Increase Whisper per Day Limit I am a very active twitch user, and whisper a LOT of people daily, but after a certain amount of whispers, you MUTE me... and I can no longer whisper.
There is no explanation, telling me that I sent too many, nothing... so I thought it was a bug, but it turns out you probably have a daily limit. You may want to reconsider that as your platform is quickly growing. Put it up to 200 or something. Or unlimited really, up to you but I hope that you change this feature.16 votes -
Auto respond to Whispers I would like to be able to set up something that auto responds to all of my Whispers with "help.twitch.tv" so I can send them to the delightful and helpful Support staff with the username change they're asking me for.

Play a sound when you receive a whisper When actively chatting or just lurking with a stream in the background, I often miss when I receive a whisper. Please add the option for a notification sound when I receive a whisper

UX of whispering someone while watching a stream When I try to whisper someone, a pop up chat appears under the stream screen as default but when that happens I cannot see the buttons of full-screen, clip or settings. I believe that's a UX problem and should be improved.

Proper DM System, not our current Whisper System. I'd really love a proper DM system similar to other social sites, group chats, good comms, stable software etc. Personally love Instagram and twitter format, but ours really... sucks. I have ZERO incentive to use Twitch as a means of communication. I run a lot of giveaways for big streamers and have to DM people which usually results in a blacklist because im messaging too many people, hence why I never use whispers and just ask people to DM me on other platforms. I'd love to see reactions enabled, proper linking and formatting, no weird server disconnects, messages not sending/appearing,…

whispers shift website up In Stream Manager,
when clicking the "Whispers" icon and tab into the input line, the whole website shifts up. This makes it impossible to access the top section. Only a restart of the browser will fix this issue. Happened with Firefox Version 83.0 (64-Bit) [Newest version as of today]1 vote -

See Whispers in Chat In the past you would see whispers in chat. Then twitch just removed it because Twitch is Twitch and doesn't care. Instead of removing useful features, just give the streamers the option to enable or disable it. It was the most useful thing for me. Bring it back!

To See if The Person has Read The Whisper or Not Well I feel like a thing should be implemented in whispers that if someone sees said message, the person who sent the whisper can see if the other person has read it or not. For example, it would have said "seen" or "has been read" if the person has read it. (I had to repost this because I typoed haha)
