3. age restriction

   While I'm of age to watch mature streams, what makes me feel uncomfortable is that there could possibly be minors in the stream. My idea is that when someone creates an account or they have an account already, our birthday should be added to the settings. It'll update every year based on birthdays and if they're underage and try to watch streamers who are clearly for mature audiences only, the twitch streamer who have their stream marked for people of age, will not show up to the person who is underage. For example, let's say I put in my birthday in settings and I put in 1999 as an example, I'll be able to see all the twitch channels that are marked for mature audiences. If I put in 2007 let's say, I wouldn't be able to see the channels mentioned before. I hope it makes sense. My idea is to keep the adult side and underage side separate because they surely don't mix well and many consequences can occur.

4. IDEA FOR THE MODERATOR ROLE

   I am a moderator of a channel of an Italian streamer, I noticed that something is missing in the user history and in the readmission requests due to a ban.
   here's what I propose:

   -in requests for readmission, following rejection or approval, the message from the user left during the request and the message after the evaluation of the creator or moderator should be recorded and accessible from the user history (/ user)

5. Tool to boot a user/bot from chat/your channel

   Twitch, please bring back the feature that removed someone from your followers list if they were banned from chat. This was so handy at slowing down harassers/bots, and I'm not sure why they went back on it.

   Secondly, if it's possible, please implement a tool that will permanently kick someone off your channel page/redirect them to elsewhere. Maybe an error page that says "Sorry, this page doesn't exist", or a black screen over the stream and chat so it's no longer visible to the person who was banned.

6. Allow subscribed users to use verified accounts only chat

   I'm currently subscribed to two channels but cannot talk in chats that are restricted to verified accounts only.

7. How to defend yourself on the channel

   ecently, we have noticed a number of malicious users posting obscene comments, reporting the channel, and having the channel suspended.
   When the distributor is busy or the moderator is unavailable, the channel is suspended before the comment can be deleted.
   We request an AutoMod for the number of characters in comments to prevent this behavior.
   If the number of characters is too large, we would like it to be put on hold.

8. Ban the word "Colonized/Gekoloniseerd" and variations of it.

   It's kind of crazy that this is even allowed to be used. It's used by the Dutch audience when there is Dutch content or a Dutch sounding person on stream.

   I get that they want to be like PogU a Dutch person but using "Gekoloniseerd" is not the appropriate way of doing it. Colonization has deep rooted history in ***** trade and the repression/massacre of native people.

   I would like to see Twitch put in changes to prevent this from being used.

9. Please do not permit the racist word S***o

   Hi there,

   As an IRL fishing streamer - The word S***o is a very common nickname used for Samson fish that I catch (Please just Google Samson Fish nickname, I don't wish to get into trouble). You will find that 99/100 Australians will call it this nickname, probably me being the only 1 who will now only refer to it as Samson. It is going to be very difficult to avoid audio capturing of someone using the nickname for this fish live on my streams, when I engage with random people in public.

   This only just came to light recently - I had it brought to my attention that this word is actually well known as a racist slur, mostly in the US, and it does not seem moderated on Twitch's end in the way of banning it from being used in clip titles, being used in Twitch usernames etc.

   I have not once used this word in a racist slur context. I have only used the word for this fish, but will now stick to the word Samson and add it to my automod banned words, which I suspect will confuse people, since it is not known well among my Australian viewer base as a racist slur.

   If it becomes against TOS to use this word and people are forced to change their usernames, then this may raise better awareness and people will avoid using this word altogether. Thank you.

14. The ability to create automod lists (similar to autohost lists) which would highlights users who have been banned in channels on your list.

    Along the lines of the new restricted user function, a good tool for creators and channel moderators would be the ability to see users who have current bans in channels you may care about.

    I.E. Similar to the autohost function, you could set a list of channels where you want to maintain similar moderation standards (this would be useful for communities such as NoPixel, content creator houses, and streamer friends, etc.). So Person A could put Friend B and Friend C's channels on their channel's automod list. Banned User 1, after being banned in Friend B and C's channels, decides to drop into Person A's channel. Upon doing so, in the Twitch mod view, the creator and moderators of the channel can see the user highlighted (similar to how first time chatters and monitored users are highlighted) with a message along the lines of 'This user has been banned in channel(s) on your automod list'.

    To avoid compromising the privacy of any given channels moderation, the message wouldn't necessarily let you know which channel the person has been banned in, just that they have been banned in one of the channels on your list. Additionally, it could be made into an opt-in function on both ends, so only creators who have opted in to the function would be able to create lists/be put on lists.

    This would make modding channels for creators who are a part of specific communities more efficient, and would further safeguard Twitch chat from any users who may create issues.

    The problem behind unban requests is, that you only have one chance. It could be useful if a request gets denied, the person can request another unban like a year after the request got denied. Requesting an unban after a year would show that the user is still interested in participating in this chat.

16. The Mod-View is nice but some short-sighted things are driving me crazy...

    Upfront: Please open a User-Voice section dedicated to the Mod-View - Why does the Creator Dashboard have one and the Mod-View not?

    1. In the user view (clicking on a user in mod-view or when reviewing an unban request), seeing when a user was timeouted or banned is so useless without seeing the message the ban was for. Please just show the last 5 messages they had before the ban and put a link to the chat-thread where I can look at more. I don't want to scroll 900 messages to see what an old ban was for. This should be pretty easy to implement judging by the way it's displayed.

    2. Add toggleable dictionaries in the blacklist. Often situations arise where we want to put a whole bunch of words onto a blacklist (e.g. Riot Games servers are down or some news went viral and we don't want to talk about it). It'd be great to have the ability to add these to a dictionary and turn different dictionaries on and off at a whim instead of having to add/delete 10 words one by one each time.

    3. Mods get insulted a lot in whispers, thats life (has gotten better with unban requests though, ty.). We ban users if they insult us but this is untraceable for other mods when they get asked for an unban. We circumvent this issue by screenshotting it with a tool like gyazo and pasting the link into mod-comments but the ability to link a ban directly to a mod-whisper for all moderators to see would be the right way to do it.

    4. As is said unban requests are great but please give us an option to allow people to repeat their unban requests every now and then. If someone gets denied they don't have access to the chat and can't see mods to dm, even years later. They should have the possibility to repeat their request at a later point in time and multiple times.

    5. Give mods the ability to highlight their messages back. We used to do this with /me and timeout chat users that used /me themselves. (Worked Great) I kind of understand why it got removed, however the italic version is beyond useless and only annoying. Just give us the option to disable it for chat users and enable it (in color) for mods and bots needing to do an announcement to chat.

    6. Introduce a mods-only chat where we can coordinate things between us and the streamer without using a different platform like discord in parallel.

    I hope some of these ideas are implemented, the first two alone would make life a lot easier!

20. Screenshots and 2 mod verification with Suspensions

    When a streamer is suspended, screenshots should be included of the violation. Streamers are bound to repeat the issue if the issue is not made clear.

    Multiple staff members should see the reports before a ban is decided upon. These moderators would work separately, without the influence of one another, to decide if the ban should occur or not. If both moderators do not hit 'yes' to the ban then the ban should not occur.

    An example, my latest ban happened while a Twitch Staff member was in my chat. This member did not see anything against TOS and was shocked that my ban was upheld. I still don't know what the ban was specifically for, two weeks later.

    It seems there is a lack on consistency on what violates TOS and what doesn't. Screenshots and multimod verification before ban would cut down significantly on the amount of appeals and help tickets because people would understand the first time why they were ban.
