How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Now the maximum number of ban counting is limited by 99, which is represented when the room manger click a user's nickname. Could you increase the maximum representing number to 999 like messages.
In some rooms where i am usually watching, we play with the number by treating like levels. But, anyone who want to increase the number reaches the maximum so easily. So, we want to increase the maximum number.

  2. userid and userlogin tags for IRC notices would help with further programatic actions instead of replying on parsing the display name from the notice. Parsing a display name does not always work to retrieve user information (e.g. when in Korean).

  3. Current implementation of quick actions allows issuing a mod action with a single click without any confirmation, which is fine when you need to act fast, but opens up a huge door for a whole world of accidents and uncomfortable talks after that. For instance, I wanted to bring a browser window to the front, for which I put a cursor on a seemingly empty spot, only for a ban button next to a user in a list to manifest itself right under my cursor, which I did not have time to process before I clicked it.

    That, in my…

  4. The channel I moderate has a Channel Points redemption that lets viewers timeout a moderator for 10 minutes. The timeout itself works as intended, but it also removes the moderator role, requiring the broadcaster to manually reassign it every time the timeout expires.

Would it be possible for timed-out moderators to automatically regain their moderator role/not lose it at all once the timeout ends? This would preserve the intended functionality of the timeout while eliminating the need for the broadcaster to repeatedly re-add moderators, especially if the redemption is used frequently.

  5. You want us to run ads. You make us run ads. Let us be able to run ads on individual chatters at will (/adjail @user). Corporations may not like the optics of their name being used in a form of punishment, maybe they wouldn't even mind, but you know love of ads is very niche. Let us weaponize it and even streamers who generally don't like running ads will support this

  6. I would like you to implement the option to remove a user from the list of followers as a mod or lead mod, this may help a lot to delete some bot followers that come from a bot raid because some much streamers don´t like to have bots in their channels as followers

  7. Many streamers utilize trial mods to assess potential long-term team members. I believe it would be beneficial to implement a trial or temporary mod role with slightly limited permissions compared to a regular mod. The proposed structure would be as follows:

    Permissions granted to trial mods:

    Issue warnings

    Apply short timeouts

    Actions requiring secondary mod approval:

    Apply extended timeouts

    Issue bans

This approach allows the streamer to observe how trial mods handle situations while minimizing the pressure on them during the evaluation period.

  8. Please make it so that if a streamer bans somebody, that person is not be able to have the streamer in their "Streamer suggests these streamers..." shelf.

    Example:

Streamer A and Streamer B are friends.
Things happen and they are no longer friends to the point that Streamer A bans Streamer B in their communities.
Streamer A is no longer associated with Streamer B, but Streamer B still has Streamer A listed on their "suggested streamers" shelf despite being banned in Streamer A's community.

I think that not being possible would be nice.

  9. As a moderator who works across multiple channels, one of the biggest challenges is dealing with repeat offenders who move from stream to stream to harass communities. Currently, each channel must individually ban the user, which is inefficient and leaves gaps for bad actors to exploit.

    Proposed Feature:
A Cross-Channel Ban Tool that allows moderators (with permission from streamers) to apply a ban to multiple channels they mod for at once.

    How it could work:

Mods can select multiple channels they are authorized to moderate.

When issuing a ban, they have the option to apply it across some or all…

  10. In the user profile card that pops up when you click a username, add a "/shoutout" shortcut button around the same area as the follow, whisper, warn, timeout, etc buttons.
A lot of times streamers will ask a moderator to shoutout another streamer, and having a button to do that quickly would be nice and also limit potential spelling errors that lead to shouting out the wrong account.

  11. I think that mod tools on mobile need to reflect mod tools on web. There are quite a few very important mod features not available on mobile that are available on web. Examples being the warning and announce features. Myself and my fellow mods aren't always at our PC so at least once or twice a stream we have to ping our discord chat to ask someone to warn a person. The announce feature is something that has been missing from mobile for quite a while at this point and I don't understand why it hasn't already been addressed.

  12. Currently, when a channel prediction is resolved, there is no information about which moderator paid it out. This creates situations where incompetent or even malicious moderators can resolve predictions incorrectly on purpose, and the streamer has no way of knowing who did it—especially in channels with multiple moderators.

I suggest Twitch should add identification of the moderator who resolved a prediction, either:

In the creator/mod chat, with a message like: “Prediction resolved by [moderator name]”, or

In the Creator Dashboard, with a log of recent mod actions.

This would help streamers track mistakes, prevent abuse, and promote more accountability and…

  13. Add from the channel moderation page the chat options (non-mod chat delay and block hyperlinks) into the mod view page Modes-menu.
Chat slowmode is already there so why not the rest of the settings applying to the chat.

  14. It seemed like one day I found out that I wasn't able to participate in chat without verifying with my phone number. I didn't want to give my personal number, so I used a Google Voice number that belongs to me. But by using that number, I get an error "please provide a valid phone number." There should've been a clear message indicating that Twitch doesn't allow VOIP numbers, so I wouldn't have to contact Twitch support or look through support articles.

I would hope that Twitch would allow any kind of numbers for what is suppose to be a…

  15. In the Review recent raids menu a quick option to ban all raiders from the same raid.

It should not be an easy to missclick button, ask to user to write in "CONFIRM" or something to make sure it can't be used by accident.

This Feature would be a great help to counter hate and bot raids.

The channel owner should be able to decide if mods are able to use it or only the owner.

  16. Whenever I see people acting in a way I want them banned in the spaces I mod for I find myself opening all those channels & individually banning them there. I'd love to be able to click on users in the chat I'm in & not moderating for & same as with blocking & reporting, select a "ban in channel/ban..." option. Ideally a list should pop up then so I can select where to ban the user as not all channels might apply the same ruleset. I guess being able to enter the reason in those fields then would be…

  17. As a streamer it would be really helpful to do some technical/test streams. The issue would be that we can now ruin someones Stream Streak, or mess up your own stats because you go live completely outside of your schedule and without promoting it.

The idea would be to have a option on the creator dashboard to activate a "Preview Mode"/"Test Mode". If you then go live you wouldn't go live for everyone but you could test overlays/events/alerts/features you made yourself. This would also not affect anyones stream streak or your own stats (since it's not a real stream)

    Maybe…

  18. So my suggestion is to add the ability for accounts to be automatically restricted from chatting based on the email address they used to create the account. I know there's the problem with privacy, personal data etc. The solution is to replace email domains with identifiers unique to every channel, so that emaildomain1 identifier in one channel is different from other channels. If a ban
evader uses for example maildomain1.com to register multiple accounts, moderators should be able to see a unique identifier based on that maildomain1 and flag all future accounts using that maildomain1 as restricted.

    Also there should…

  19. I'm a moderator for a former Air Force vet. Today he was getting followed by multiple names that were celebrating/promoting veteran suicide. This really affected him, and I wish there was a way for automod to ban a follower instantly with certain words in their name.

  20. the streamer should be the only one that can accept or deny unban request cause the stream could mod someone that a person that that they dont like and ban and deny the unban request behind the streamer back when they are not paying attention and that could make the streamer look bad and the streamer can complain to u about it so mods shouldnt be able to accept or deny unban request and also it can make the viewer upset as well too cause he be thinking he or she did something wrong please remove that from mods thank…
