1. Twitch - Uservoice link warning.

   When you first sign into Uservoice forum it seems a bit dodgy as the warning tells you it's not part of Twitch which is confusing -

   For example I got a link this morning from a charity asking me to vote for their charity on Twitch - I went to vote and when I tried to vote it said do you want to allow access to Uservoice - Uservoice is not part of Twitch.

   Of course this caused confusion and having looked into it I realised it wasn't some kind of scam link (as being not part of Twitch had alarm bells ringing) and the url isn't even part of the Twitch domain - it's Uservoice.com. But it could be made more clearer that Uservoice is Twitch.

2. prevent being logged out of uservoice

   not sure what happened, but ever since the twitch data leak, the uservoice does not save login data - i always have to login again even with the save login enabled.

4. Mobile Interface

   The popups on the mobile app completely change the viewing experience. Not only do we have to manually close the Subtember notification that appears and covers the top of every stream, a lot of partnered streams have an “Includes Paid Promotion” popup that appears at the bottom of the screen, and instead of disappearing it leaves a gray line across the bottom of the stream where the only fix is to change the orientation of my screen and change it back, or shrink the window and open it again. These popups are unnecessary and ruin the viewing experience.

5. Save your Streak has less information than Followed Channels

   I am honestly baffled by " Save your Streak " in the " For you " category. When I watch someone I am interested in what game they are playing. The " Save your Streak " info in the " For you " category removes this information, and even worse the channel is not visible in my " Followed channels " - therefore I cannot quickly and conveniently identify what the streamer is playing at the moment and decided whether I am interested or not. Please either add what game is currently being played in " Save your Streak " or do not hide the channel in " Followed channels " .

6. i do not like the yellow flame thingy

   hi i love your site but i am not a fan of that yellow flame thingy staying in the follow channel box with the number of streaks by it under the name of your streamers if that makes sense. i liked it better when that wennt away. i have no idea why you changed it that is just confusing about if the streak is locked in or not. brfore when the yellow flame went away you knew your streak was sfe. it is also distracting for me

7. Creators and Viewers

   I’ve been thinking about why people often seem more attracted to chaotic, unserious streams than to serious or intellectually demanding ones, and I think part of the reason may actually be built into the structure of streaming platforms themselves.

   A stream is not just content being broadcast by one person. It is communication between the creator and the audience. But today, the creator communicates through video, voice, personality, identity, followers and the entire visual space of the stream, while the viewer can usually contribute only through short text messages in chat.

   Even if nobody intends it, that creates a kind of emotional hierarchy: the creator feels like the “real participant,” while the audience becomes a temporary stream of comments underneath them.

   On chaotic or unserious streams this hierarchy is often weakened naturally, because the creator behaves more freely and the whole space feels socially flatter. But on serious streams the creator often becomes more formal, the audience more passive, and the distance becomes stronger.

   I wonder if this could be changed with something surprisingly simple: give viewers their own interaction layer.

   Not direct control over the stream, and not more spam inside the video itself — a separate viewer panel.

   Creators would have their side of Twitch, where they compete for viewers, followers and subscriptions. Viewers would have their own side, where they could build a following and reputation through the quality of their participation: good questions, useful answers, interesting arguments, ideas, corrections, observations or other contributions.

   A creator could still be a viewer whenever they watch somebody else. The distinction would simply depend on what you are doing at that moment — streaming or watching.

   This could create two equal social roles instead of one active role and one passive role.

   The most interesting part is that viewers could follow other viewers. If someone repeatedly contributes intelligent, useful or entertaining ideas, people could start recognizing and following them even if that person never streams.

   That would create a second social network inside Twitch itself: not only “Which streamer do I follow?”, but also “Which people in the audience do I trust, enjoy or find interesting?”

   And because this interaction would exist in a separate viewer layer, it would not need to interrupt the stream, trigger sounds, cover the video or create a flood of actions. Only the most interesting contributions could cross from the audience layer into the stream itself.

   I think such a small structural change could have a surprisingly large effect on the culture of streaming.

   Instead of viewers competing for a few seconds of attention in chat, they could gradually gain social value through what they contribute.

   And that might make serious streams feel less like a lecturer speaking to a crowd, and more like a shared space in which both sides actually participate.

8. more options to customize,"Channel Surfing", pls rework the "tag system"

   For example, more options to customize the Twitch page. The "front-page carousel" is great, but it’s annoying that it shows me VODs for things I haven't actually watched. There should be a way to turn off the front-page carousel or modify it so those VODs don't show up in my history. P.S. It’s really poor design that users from my block list can appear in the front-page carousel.
   More options for working with the tag system; the current system is too cluttered given the sheer number of tags.
   We users need the ability to hide tags we have absolutely no interest in—like English, German, and other languages.
   That kind of info could just be embedded in the stream overlay alongside the "Live" status and viewer count.
   Blocking tags is important, too! Why? Well, "a happy user is a good customer."
   Why do I have to sift through 200 streams I’ll never watch just because I don't like the stream style—tags like ASMR, VTuber, gay, LGBTQ+, NSFW, Furry,
   and others that feel more related to the streamer's sexual orientation than the actual content? And if the content is sexual in nature—why is it on Twitch?
   Finally, an idea that 90s kids will recognize: "Channel Surfing" I’d love the ability to flip through channels—categorized by main page, games, categories, etc.
   This only makes sense if we can block tags and prevent every channel we briefly check out from cluttering our VOD history;
   otherwise, the video and channel recommendations would get completely skewed.

9. Use more prominent and clearer promotion terms

   TLDR version - on the just expired Audible Dungeon Crawler Carl Chat badge promotion - use the term "live channel" more prominently on streamer page, on the Twitch.tv/drops/campaign page and the blog page that pops up when you click "About This Reward"

   If indeed, the badges only qualify for subs purchased on live channels, how hard would it be to include that on the same line in the drops/campaign line before the Summary description "Earn up to 3 Audible Dungeon Crawler Carl Chat Badges. Buy 1 Twitch sub for EnchantedBigBoiBoxers badge. Buy 1 more sub for both PrincessDonutPink and PrincessDonutBrown badges. Terms apply."? It's two or three words and there was lots of blank space after Terms apply.

   Likewise in the blog page, put the "live channel" requirement at the TOP of the blog post, not buried at the bottom in the official terms and conditions (live was mentioned only once in the entire blog). I clicked the blog post link to get more details about both the sub requirements and what I would get for an Audible reward and only happened on the official terms accidentally. I see now that "live was mentioned below the About This Reward link and the images but I assumed the blog post would be clear. There was lots of mentions of buying a new or gift sub but only ONE mention of "live" on the entire blog page and only in the official terms (which, be real, most people don't read)

   Perhaps also drop "while live" in the description on the streamer's channel.

   I quibble about this because several of my favorite streamers are on vacation and therefore I couldn't purchase new subs while they were live... Plus seriously, why did they have to be live? I can purchase subs when they are offline and Twitch still gets the benefit.

10. Stop making banners permanent. Stop making **** annoying.

    Stop making **** annoying. Stop giving INSTANT ADS the moment somebody starts typing in chat, what the **** is that? Stop giving us banners that won't go away no matter what we do, what the **** is that? I'm actually less convinced to buy subs because the "bonus subs" banner won't go away above chat.

    Hallo, wenn ich auf der Twitch Appkanäle anschaue und dann ein anderes Kanal schauen will, kommt immer schwebende Fenster mit der alten Kanal. Das stört so viel macht keinen Spaß mit den App zu schauen. Überlegen Sie mal sie schauen Fernsehen und wollen den Kanal wechseln und der alte Kanal bleibt klein auf dem Bildschirm und sie müssen das extra schließen. Jedes Mal ich will das nicht mehr in mobilen Applikation

    Stream preview for hovering over all channels in the side bar, so you dont have to leave your stream window to "zap" through your next streams.

    Thought of it so many times by now, as a quality of life feature on the plattform.

    I couldn't access a stream of https://www.twitch.tv/lobanjicaa - Loba due age and/or region, I'm 31 years old male, I already sent a report with screenshot of my ID!

16. Ideas for improving the viewer experience

    Hello. I’m here to share some thoughts on marketing.

    I believe that introducing “cheer screenings” would further strengthen community cohesion, leading to increased customer loyalty and higher repeat viewership rates.

    Specifically, currently, on “all social media platforms,” there is no feature that allows viewers to indiscriminately use their microphones to shout or cheer simply by meeting certain viewing conditions (and I suspect no such patent exists either).

    This is a promotional technique used in the film industry now, but I thought it could be applied to streaming platforms.

    (I recently joined a Twitch survey on a recently viewed streamer and this idea spawned for that concept)

    Example: Imagine your first time on twitch and you want to find a stream , where to begin?
    Will the overall enjoyed by the twitch majority score help?

19. By letting us know when the folks we follow/sub to are going to be live in one convenient place.

    I follow maybe 100 and sub to maybe 30. I need a performance schedule that is tailored to me. For example just like you show a schedule per streamer, I need such a display to show me who that I am following is going to be streaming and when. I know I miss streams that I would have gifted subs for if I had been there, but I just didn't have time to go through 100 streamers to find out if anyone would be coming on soon.. I like getting email notifications, but by then it is too late to plan to be on-stream.
