Pronoun bio field and chat integration
Following up my comment on https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310210-discover/suggestions/42218083-pronouns-prefix
It would be great if there were a dedicated Bio field in which we could put our pronouns, and a chat feature similar to the functionality provided by https://pronouns.alejo.io/ to display pronouns right alongside names in chat. This could also be used to populate a tag-like display near the streamer's name.
Tags for streamers are a start, but I'd like to be able to consult someone's bio (if they choose to disclose pronouns) so I can refer to them properly when they're not currently streaming and be able to refer to viewers properly.

It would be great to have this as an integrated twitch feature!

Yes! Third party apps are great and all but they don't work on all devices. Even for cis folks, no one likes being misgendered. If LinkedIn can do it, Twitch easily can.

Add a feature to identify our pronouns as a broadcaster on our "About" page or next to our broadcaster name.
As Twitch is a huge supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community and its Pride Month, it would be a great idea to end the month on a high note, or for June next year.
Thanks in advance, that would be great!

Need this asap, kinda sad we don't have it now already. having the extension is nice and all but its an extra step we don't need for identity visibility. If not added twitch is cringay

we shouldn't need to use an extension for this to address chat and streamers appropriately in conversations. this should be STANDARD. get with the times.

@GiraffeInAStorm Little tags beside usernames in chat, so that everyone can see each others pronouns wether it's a community member or the streamer.

So I can better understand this post, are you talking about tags when you ARE the streamer. Like on YOUR stream? If not (like if you're just a viewer), even if you're male or female (not trans and/or non-binary) you still can't really tell based off a username. Therefor I'm a bit confused.

@Ferrari_Fire in what version of BTV/7TV as neither of these on their stable channels provude "pronouns" as a function. You might be able to rename/nickname someone with their username[pronouns] but that isn't the user themselves just having the information proffered automatically as suggested.

Anyone looking for this you can install BetterTV and 7TV apps and they do this for you

It's not even only affecting trans/non binary people. You just cant tell the pronoun by a username. Would be great to have a badge which you can activate similar to the badges that show that you muted the stream.

I think it's a good idea to have a gender icon near our username (mostly in chats), it's a small touch that will be a very good improvement. It's kinda hard, not having a real name or a real picture, to know who are you talking to, male, female, I'm not going further, at least male or female for the start. You don't want to insult anyone, and you don't know what that person might be, and it's pretty hard to communicate with people without knowing how to address them. Or at least, let us choose.

I was really impressed to see the attention to Safety and Acceptance at the cons and am shocked this is still not some sort of feature w.r.t. Twitch.

In the meanwhile, there's Alejo's extension, but native support would be excellent.

Native pronoun functionality is especially useful because with random gamertag names, it's hard to just guess someone's pronouns. By default I end up referring to everyone as he/him. It could be next to their names or it can be tied to the reply feature, where it will show their pronouns as you type your reply.

Native pronoun support in chat, it’s impossible to know how to refer to other chatters

100% agree with your opinion there should be an option set pronoun next to the user name so there would be no confusion to call anyone i have faced this issue with my https://drduany.org/ clients so it would be very easy to call anyone according to their gender.

This would be perfect! I’ve been struggling with setting up an extension that’s supposed to do this as well! Having it as an option from twitch would be wonderful!
