Pronoun bio field and chat integration
Following up my comment on https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310210-discover/suggestions/42218083-pronouns-prefix
It would be great if there were a dedicated Bio field in which we could put our pronouns, and a chat feature similar to the functionality provided by https://pronouns.alejo.io/ to display pronouns right alongside names in chat. This could also be used to populate a tag-like display near the streamer's name.
Tags for streamers are a start, but I'd like to be able to consult someone's bio (if they choose to disclose pronouns) so I can refer to them properly when they're not currently streaming and be able to refer to viewers properly.

@omega_apex128 if you want to play the numbers game, the creator of the Twitch pronouns extension has already shared that over 320,000 Twitch users have added their pronouns to it. Because it matters to them. Is that an insignicant number to you? Just because this isn't important to you doesn't mean it's worthless.

@omega_apex128 No matter how I look at it, this’s kind of an L take on the topic. Twitch is a source of entertainment, sure, but the other most important thing about Twitch for a lot of people (maybe not you) that you seem to be forgetting about is interaction with other people, and pronoun integration is meant to improve this aspect of Twitch by making the site more inclusive for those who don’t use normie pronouns, and it’s also helpful for normie folks like myself to not accidentally misgender people.
It would be an improvement across the board as far as I can tell, I don’t see any reasons NOT to do it nor do I see how it “takes the focus away from gaming” as you say, but maybe I’m the one not seeing the bigger picture here. \_( ` -`)_/That said, it’s hard to tell over text but I’m really not tryna start an argument here, I’m just explaining- calmly and rationally to the best of my ability…
why that’s an L take. XD -

There are bursts of activity from time to time. I think this occurs when some community finds out about the plugin and wonders why the functionality isn't built into Twitch. (Hot tip: it's because Twitch doesn't care about its viewers at all, let alone those of us who might benefit from pronoun tags)
[Very sarcasm] I guess we can all just quit, though, since omega_apex128 doesn't care. There's your "real interest" right there. Eight times the votes of the second most popular idea on this site practically no one seems to even know about (else why wouldn't /anything/ else have over a thousand votes?) clearly demonstrates that nobody cares. Somehow.

In recent days this topic received a significant grow in comments. Seems like some kind of comment bombing. Im following this discussion since April but it got active only recently. Strange. Keep it in mind while counting „real” interest.

@omega_apex128 I agree with you but that 1% is very loud and vocal (I'm not sure here's the cause. Or is this being loud and vocal. It's hard to tell these days.). That is why most people in all communities are noticed because extremists like being loud and vocal. It's not always a good thing. But I agree on if the person is entertaining or not. But they are also a person you should never for get it unless it says somewhere it's ai. A.I. in itself is fun playing with but don't recommend it replacing real peoples jobs.
But I do think this is important if you find a streamer you like. It help viewers and streamers from being LGBQ phobic less. They still there it just how the world works. But other labels for other things to outside gender would be nice too. -

Completely unnecessary. Focus just needs to be put back on the games. I don't care about a person's gender. Are you entertaining? Literally all that matters. I get that less than 1% of the population cares, but it hasn't got anything to do with streaming. Just look at how long it's taken to gather what...4500 votes? That's such a teenie tiny number compared to the user base. Heck even compared to how many partnered channels there are.

This genuinely would be such a good addition. in my browser often times the pronoun add on just doesnt work, so this being fully integrated into twitch itself would be amazing.

Would be great to be part of twitch natively, apart from it just being nice to have that inclusivity easier to give, I can only imagine this making chat more engaging and active.

This is just a quality of life feature for everyone and it would be great for it to have the native support.

This would be a really fantastic feature, and would probably get me to interact with other chatters more than I currently do

I would totally be for this. Sometimes it's hard for me to remember pronouns for viewers who can't always make it. It would also help new and old members of our communities feel more welcome and comfortable.

I use the extension, but whenever I use mobile or a non browser app for Twitch or a new browser I can't see pronouns. But people that don't see the app at ALL can't see mine either. I think this will be extremely helpful if natively supported and help with the normalization of the use of the disclosure of pronouns
