Restore the functionality you've removed
The new channel page design adopts the worst trend in bad UI/UX: it takes the functionality that users have come to expect and grown accustomed to, and either buries it or removes it all together. Features such as the Followers tab are now so hard to find that first I thought they had been removed outright.
The postage stamp sized carousel that replaces my offline image when first navigating to my channel page is laughably useless. My offline image was designed to convey specific information relevant to the channel and new viewers. That is gone, replaced by a tiny and poorly designed video carousel that lacks any perceivable purpose. The only way to view the offline image is to click my channel name under the carousel. This brings me back to the old default channel layout, of course minus minus the navigation tabs that were actually useful.
The tiny size of the carousel makes me wonder why it is even there. You have the hero banner container taking up nearly half of the page, and yet the carousel takes up only a small amount of that and it doesn’t scale to fill more of the space. Seriously, not only is is totally useless but it looks dreadful with all that empty space around it.
Then I saw the “Customize your channel” button, which I thought might actually allow me to change some awful design choices that have been made. Boy, was I wrong.
Clicking the “Customize your channel” button is equally laughable. Silly me for thinking it would allow me to do what it says on the tin, and actually customize my channel to display the information that I actually WANT it to display. Nope. It just takes me back to the same channel preferences with the same options that have been there for me since I opened my account. No new options to let me put my channel image back in place of the carousel, no new options to let me choose what content is shown in the carousel by default, no new options to bring the Followers tab back to the navigation options...in fact, there are no new options to “customize:” my channel to speak of. But...woo-hoo! I can still change my profile accent color! La-dee-frickin-da.
How about adding some functionality to the “Customize your channel” that would, you know, allow me to actually customize my channel and change/modify the layout and content that is displayed on the channel page? I do not want or need a Schedule tab. I do not have a set schedule. I stream when I have the free time to do so. I don’t want or have use for a Schedule. How about giving me the ability to “customize my channel” so that I can remove it and replace it with something I actually want, like the Followers tab you took away?
With the Followers tab, I used to be able to see how many followers I had and who they were with one click from the channel page. You’ve now made that a needlessly more complicated task. I can see how many followers I have from the channel page, but if I want to see WHO they are, I need click on that amazing “Customize your channel” and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, then click the Followers List option. That does bring me to a list of my followers. Fine. But any person who has ever navigated the Internets would likely think that the Followers List would not only display a list of followers, but display the actual number of followers in that list. Right? Wrong. There is no follower count displayed in the follower list. Seriously? There is now no way to display both sets of data on the same screen? You had that functionality, but you removed it. In what twisted sense of website design does this actually make any sense?
These are just a few examples of how the new channel page design has taken away useful functionality and made navigating my “new” channel page an exercise in frustration. If there are ways to work around any of my complaints (and I have many more), they are not in any way apparent.

100% agree. I disprove of such a change that gives us and the viewers less information.
