New channel page layout doesn't respect browser auto-play settings
The new channel page layout (released around 12 May 2020) doesn't respect auto-play settings from browsers. I've tested it with Firefox and Google Chrome across macOS, Linux, and Windows, and nothing sticks.
Specifically, the page that shows VODs with the stream playing behind the content just continues to play with video and audio, despite my browser settings being set to block auto-playing video and audio. If I go directly to the "live" page with the chat box, the video doesn't start playing automatically.

Having a moving background behind what I'm trying to look at causes immediate motion sickness and I have to quickly close the tab.
Please allow for auto-play video and audio to be blocked on this new channel page.

add an option to turn autoplay on and off. it's really annoying. if i wanted to watch the streams then i would click on it.

yeah it gets really annoying especially when its one youve already seen. it often takes me a while to find a video im looking for and having a video playing while im looking bothers me.

STOP AUTO-PLAYING VODS WHEN GOING TO A STREAM PAGE. My shortcut to Twitch goes to a certain streamer's page and I DO NOT want to automatically have a VOD thrown in my face for someone who is offline. At the ABSOLUTEL MINIMUM this needs to be toggle-able.
