Bring Back Following/Followers Buttons On Our Pages
As a streamer who likes to look at who is following them, having to go to my channel settings every time now to look at my follower list is highly annoying, this button should be added back onto our pages even if it is only visable to the steamer, this is for easier access which I think you will agree is better overall than something being out of the way and annoying to get too.
The following button should be brought back as well for who the streamer follows so that way followers can look at who the streamer follows and possibly find other people to watch, while the streamer could be hosting somebody and the viewer could watch them, giving them more options is a good idea overall to help everyone grow and not just whoever the streamer is hosting at the time.
We could easily access who we're following on our channel page a while ago, but now it's hidden in creator dashboard.
I agree, but the followers button should be brought back for everyone to see. I disprove of such a change that gives us and the viewers less information.
Before the update, it was easy to see the followers of any channel. When I needed to remember how I knew a streamer, I could look at their follower list, see friends, and know the streamer had a good chance of being awesome. Otherwise, if I don't remember them, I unfollow them.
I also enjoyed having an easy way to see who had followed me. Now it's hidden in Channel Preferences.
PLEASE bring the easy Follower List back!
We follow channels because we support them. And I know others are interested in who streamers support. Due to time zones hosting and auto-hosting tends to mean hosting the same few channels as most viewers are only gonna check out the host just after a stream or just before if they join the channel early. We could use a panel to list every channel we support, but when the followed channels list was public it already did that in a better way than a panel would because it showed art for each channel as well as just the name.
Allowing us to prioritise the channels we follow would also be useful. The list of live channels we follow is always prioritised with highest number of viewers at the top, but that's not a good indication of favourite channels. For example, big game developers always have more viewers than my best friend, but if my best friend is streaming at the same time as a big game dev I would rather watch my friend.
i would like to post the following feedback:
Since the new redesign the option: Following is missing. There are only followers left.
So I ask myself, why is the Following missing?
I thought about advantages and disadvantages for the following option for twitch.
- Look for beautiful channel designs
- Find E-sport players (based on the Deisgns)
- From time to time you can also find streamer with a special biography (soldier, designer, athlete ...)
- If you want to enter a business with a streamer, you can also see approximately the range of the streamer)
- Through the different channel names you can also get a picture of the business image.
- Some streamer also have a selfie photo in it. Since you can also guess the stream channel and the content. Good appearance -> sympathy (does not necessarily have to be everywhere)
- Whether the channel also has the same friend or another known follower
There are actually only benefits. I can not find any significant disadvantages for Twitch.
Also the re-implementation, would not be a big workload.
Therefore, I ask twitch from the heart to give me a feedback, please.
This is less about browsing and searching, more about site design.
As pointed out in multiple Reddit threads ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/d9vwmr/in_the_redesign_is_there_a_way_to_see_who_a/ , https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/da1psp/following_option_removed_this_is_bad_for_channel/ ),
there is no longer a way to see what channels *other* users follow. One side says this is to prevent stalking. The *other* side says this stifles moderation in some ways.
...Is there *any* way to re-enable seeing what channels other users follow, not just you yourself?
With Todays change to the website you can no longer browse the channels that others follow. That was a useful tool to discover new streamers without them actively streaming at the moment or already knowing their stream name. Google still points to the page and you can still manually enter the page address in the bar, but the twitch server redirects you to the streamers main page when you try to pull up the list.
