Tie schedule to a time zone
The schedule tab is extremely redundant if it's not tied to your timezone. The current extension will show the streamer's schedule in the time zone of the system viewing it. This is SO important as we all know noon CET is most definitely not noon PST. From the looks of things now, we'll just be able to set our schedules to a time, and it will then be up to the viewer to keep track of what timezones we are in. Thus the schedule will not be usable for the viewer.
This should also include the option for the streamer to set the timezone for their streams, as a lot of us stream while on longer trips. With the option of setting the timezone, we can then prepare our viewers for different start times because of time zone changes.
Additionally, the lack of timezones also forces the viewers to have to keep track of when daylight savings happens in other places than their home. I.e. Europe and North America have three weeks between when the times are changed, and I'm sure this goes for other places too.
Giving us the option for a schedule is well and all, but it's no use to our viewers if it doesn't show them when we'll be live in their timezone.

Just to provide some clarity – we actually already handle the timezone translation for both streamer and viewer, so viewers should be able to see exactly when you’re going live in their timezone. We realize it’s tricky because we don’t have any messaging that explains this, so we will be working to get that added.

Reading the comments here, I don't think the Twitch developers understand what's being asked.
I am a moderator/editor for a channel in a different country with a different time zone. When I go to edit the schedule, it says it's being saved in *my* time zone, and I'm given no option to change that.
This is very bad, because when DST switches to Standard (and vice-versa), both countries do this on separate days, meaning the schedule will be incorrect for the streamer. The problem is even worse when editing schedules between northern and southern hemispheres.
What I expect:
I need to be able to specify the time zone on the schedule, along with DST/Standard designations. What I've tried:
I've looked and looked, and there is no option for me to change my own time zone. I've changed the origin of my IP address, logged off and on again, cleared my cookies, and Twitch insists on using a saved time zone.Workaround:

Currently in GMT (also in my computer's settings) and Twitch Schedule insists on showing it times at GMT +1

In it's current state, the schedule tab is useless for me as a streamer, as it displays my timezone as GMT +2, while I'm GMT +1 and my system is as well (of course). I found no way to change this, so I have to announce my schedule on my About page and on my Discord. Would be so much nicer to just have it on my Twitch correctly, but doesn't seem to be an option.

For a better awareness of time differences, have schedule show streamer's home timezone and times in addition to viewer's timezone, making both visible at the same time, in the Schedule section and on the individual schedule items with set times.
Channel timezone could be a setting in Dashboard, with a toggle to set it's visibility (so it'd be an opt-in setting, since some might choose to hide it for privacy).
Right now, figuring out how the time differences pan out would involve asking around about that, holding that information somewhere, and doing a bunch of extraneous time math. It would be much easier if schedule items could just display streamer-local times right next to the viewer-local times. -

Hi there, we actually handle timezones on the backend already although it's not clear because we didn't add anything to tell you about how it works!
We store streams in the local to you timezone as you create them in our database and that information gets passed down when a viewer visits the schedule. We do some location and math calculations to handle a bunch of various cases and viewers will see the schedule on their end in their local time.

I can't imagine the thought process that went into designing a schedule function without considering time zones... and hopefully those without access to this beta never have to.

Agreed, viewers 100% need to know the exact time you'll be live in their timezone

I second this as I have viewers from the UK and all over the US, located in different time zones. I'd like the ability to have the time zone in the schedule section. I won't always stream from my local time zone, so this is a particularly important feature to me.
