1. Remove the 'Twitch Stories' button from the left tab where followers show.

   Give users the option to remove the 'Twitch Stories' button from the left tab where followers show. For users like me who suffer from crippling OCD, a change as small as this is very stressful. I can't turn it off at all! I can maximize a stream but then I cant see chat at all, or talk to anyone. I get a new feature like stories they want to show off but, long term, simply having it as an option under your profile, when you click your profile pic and open the dropdown menu, should be good enough! I want to see streams I follow on the side and nothing else.
   Many people also use Twitch to get away from the normal social media like twitter facebook instagram where the stories things are all over the place. It seems harmful to even have stories on Twitch, but if theyre going to, at least let us people who it physically and mentally hurts have a way to ignore them. Moving the button to the menu should be easy enough!

2. Closed Caption Translations

   Can we add an ability for users to be able to translate closed captions? I recently added them to my stream to try to help a viewer who doesn't speak English and I could only talk to them through chat, but I was bummed to realize that he can't see them in his language.

   I realize that it would cost Twitch money to translate captions through a server, but it also seems like such a basic thing for the user experience. I'm sure there are streamers that I would like, but I can't understand their stream due to the language barrier.

3. SPELL CHECKER PLEASE

   Like millions of others i have difficulties spelling. I have dyslexia, and it takes me about 4 mins to type a message this long. now try and participate in a chat room with a 4 minute spelling lag. it's impossible. a spell check would cut that in half or 3/4. for us who struggle if we can get a part of the word right spell check will get us the rest of the way. Please find a way to implement a spell check it would be a massive improvement.

4. Add closed captions in both past streams and live streams

   So not just people who dont have any disabilities can watch I bet you guys and girls that even people with disabilities want to watch you stream. even deaf people but they dont know what the gamer is saying so why not let them take part in 100% of the stream and not half of it because they dont know what the gamer is thinking. It will get you more customers and I know every company wants more customers.

5. Change volume oder mute music from streamer

   In OBS The streamer has to put music etc on a line called "music" and this is detected by Twtich and gives another volume control line only for music to the users. This would be nice to have to mute music to hear more of the Gamesound etc. or some other moment when you dont want to listen to the streamers music and this feature would add perfetcly to the option to not hear music in clips, older streams etc.

6. Addressing the disability gatekeeping in Affiliate/Partner and Tags; Things we've brought up for Years now, and Possible Solutions.

   The way Twitch is currently set up, most people with moderate to severe disability(s) are entirely unable to join the community of streamers on equal ground. Forget Partner; just getting to Affiliate is a wall that not all of us have the equipment to climb over.

   On top of that, streamers have to choose either putting tags related to their games OR to their identity and community markers; am I putting "autistic" or "CC" or "hard of hearing" or "disabled or "nonbinary" or - or- or - OR.

   There's no consideration for this, for the many of us who are passionate and have so much to share, who want to be an active part of the streaming community on Twitch in a way that allows us to access the same possibilities.

   I won't just complain: There are steps that can be taken toward positive change.

   One: Have an Alternative Needs option for Partner and Affiliate that would be, instead of an application to start with, a form to submit that we can use to tell you what we can and cannot reasonably do because of our disability(s). Then send an Adapted application with those restrictions removed and possibly some other goals (within our power and not dependent on others, ie: views/follows) reasonably altered or extended to make it fair. An example would be: "A disabled streamer cannot stream multiple times a week or adhere to a predictable/regulated schedule, however their total time streaming is [time], and they have been streaming since [date], and therefore is a good option for the program."

   Alternatively, require ID verification only and allow the Affiliate program to be significantly more open and accessible to people of all schedules and lifestyles, and then the above suggestion would only apply to Partner.

   Two: We have been asking for changes to the tag system for years now. Those changes are long overdue, the pizza is cold and moldy, and it's a problem.

   Unlimited tags is an easy way to effortlessly solve this, but I have an even more community-driven suggestion. Do you all remember when YouTube used to actually have side-bar profiles? Twitch could really use something like that, a place for more than a brief sentence to introduce ourselves on a crowded screen.

   An actual profile page to get to know the streamer, favorite games, how long they've been part of Twitch, and what communities they're a part of would be an incredible boon for us all. And that last part about the communities? That would be where the tags relevant for WHO we are as streamers would go. Separating them from the stream information means viewers could search for a type of stream AND a streamer from a community they want to participate in.

   At the end of the day, we've been asking for these exact things, Twitch, for literal years. Look in this category and see just how many repeats there are with hundreds of votes, some from 2019. We feel ignored, invalidated, undervalued, unwanted, and incapable of even hoping for what is, for everyone else, an equal opportunity. Show us, through change and not words, that you're listening.

7. To be able to filter channels followed by "Last seen live" in reverse.

   To be able to filter channels followed by "Last seen live" in reverse to allow for filtering of possibly inactive channels.

   This would help users at the 2,000 followed channels cap easily find who to unfollow to maintain a more active followed channels list.

8. The new dark mode is difficult to read.

   I, along with many of my viewers, are having a hard time with the new Twitch dark mode, especially in the chat feed box.

   The new look for the site is REALLY good. I want to emphasize this. Everything about it looks cleaner, more modern, and is more user friendly, except the dark mode color choices.

   The 255 white on jet black background, with the bold-ish white font, is blinding even with monitor brightness turned down a bit. It doesn't do what dark mode needs to, where it dims out the whole screen but keeps things clearly legible. I put it on two identical screens side by side, and at my normal brightness it is like my eyes can't focus on it properly. I have heard the same thing from quite a few people in the community. On dimmer settings, where the white doesn't pop quite so hard, it is legible, but still uncomfortable to look at.

   My suggestion for a fix would be to do one or more of:
   ---Lighten the jet black to more of a space grey.
   ---Back off of 255 bright on the font color
   ---Use a font that is narrower/less bold to reduce the number of intense pixels.

   Thanks! I hope this gets resolved in some way, because even after using the site for several days it isn't really getting better.

9. Scrolling doesn't work

   Right now you are only able to scroll through Twitch-Chat by using your Mouse Scroll Wheel. When you are on a Laptop that uses a Touch Mouse, you scroll by clicking the (too tiny) scroll bar to the right of Chat. When doing this, new Messages will bug your current position lower. So basically the Scroll Wheel is totally useless when using the Drag and Drop Scroll Wheel because new Messages make it impossible to read what you wanna read. I don't understand how this isn't fixed yet.

10. Flashing lights warning

    The way Twitch currently works, it is very hard for an audience member to know if a stream they are entering could contain flashing images or lights. This is especially dangerous to viewers with a sensitivity to light. It could cause physical discomfort, pain, and in extreme cases death. Creators can be nice and warn their audience, however since new viewers can join at any time it is unreasonable to place the burden of constant warnings on a creator. So how do we fix it?
    I propose a new simple feature that can create mass warning and help prevent this issue in the first place
    Creators can check a box before beginning a stream that says something similar to "content may contain flashing images/lights." If this box has been marked, when a viewer enters the stream a pop-up will appear displaying the message. The pop-up needs to be closed via an "x" symbol to ensure sensitive viewers see the message. However this can be annoying and offputting to viewers without light sensitivities. On the audience side, a new setting under "preferences" appears. This turns the feature off for those who dont need it. The setting says something like
    "Warn me about flashing images on/off."
    However the default is the setting on so that light sensitive viewers know about the setting. To ensure non-sensative viewers know the warnings can be disabled, the pop-up also displays a separate message which says "these warnings may be turned off in settings." Lastly some creators may not mark a stream as containing flashing images. While it is impossible to rectify all cases of this it is easy to regulate some of it. If a game contains a flashing light warning and the streamer has selected that game as the stream category than the stream will automatically be marked and warn viewers.
    While its absurd to ask creators to be responsible for these warnings as viewers are constantly joining at different points, a new feature similar to this one would improve the lives of many and make Twitch a more accessible platform.

11. Remove the "Come here often" pop-up

    Some people enjoy watching streams of games they enjoy/have an interest in purchasing but don't want to follow that specific channel (for whatever reason).
    However, there's a certain little pop-up that covers the bottom portion of the stream, pointing at the follow button, that says "Come here often? Come back to [insert Streamers name here] channel FASTER by hitting that follow button" (with a bunch of hands pointing down at the follow button like we can't see it).

    See, some of us just want to watch a stream, chill out and not feel pressured to follow/sub/whatever and I wouldn't have a problem with the pop-up so much IF it only showed up once per stream .. but it seems to show up every few minutes.. pressuring you to follow.. insulting you for not following.. why haven't you followed?.. you're still here, you should follow..

You want interaction. but sometimes, as a viewer, you want to just lurk, and the constant pressure to follow does a number on those with social anxiety who want to .. just Lurk

12. Give Upload access to those who can't fully register for Affiliate.

    Because I am on Universal Credit, due to health disabilities/ problems, it means, I can't complete the Affiliate forms.
    There SHOULD be updates to Twitch in the future either allowing those unfortunate like me to be able to buy certain features like Uploads, mostly Uploads or gain access to them.
    It just seems really unfair to those who has the same problems as I do.

13. Twitch mobile app Volume Slider

    I'm experiencing an issue on Android 11 where the volume coming from any and all streams through the Twitch mobile app is distinctly quiet to the point of being inaudible unless I set my phone to max volume. This has caused intense usability and accessibility issues on my Android mobile phone as I have to set my phone to max volume to be able to hear any Twitch channel through speakers and/or headphones which causes intense pain when using any other sound/voice app such as Discord, messaging apps, etc. Is there a way the Twitch mobile app's volume can be better adjusted along with an in-app volume slider? I love Twitch and want to be able to watch streams and use chatting services simultaneously but this distinctly low default audio from the app is concerning.

14. Access and change closed caption settings and appearance from twitch mobile app

    I have closed captions enabled by default on the twitch website. The captions display on videos when I'm watching from the mobile app (iOS), but it is currently not possible to access the settings or toggle captions on/off.

    This is a problem because I don't need captions on for every video, and they often cover important parts of the video on smaller screen sizes.

    Ideally, I would love to be able to change text size, color, opacity, and placement on the screen in mobile view like I can on desktop. It would be even better if I could choose to pop out the captions transcript and read it outside of the video (similar to sidebar chat).

    At the very least, it would help to have a button to toggle captions off or a setting to only use captions on desktop. I would rather be able to see what is happening even if I can't understand what is being said.

15. consider adding CC availability to VODs for the deaf and hard of hearing.

    It is something that has crossed my mind when I watch streamers past VODs: Is there really no option for CC to be added? How to go about it, I think would be the real challenge. I believe the best way would be to allow the option for the streamers themselves to add CC to their VODs and/or allow mods/a person they trust, to do it for them if they so wish. Another way that it could be done would be to allow streamers to flag videos they desire CC on and have a dedicated Twitch CC Provider then watch the VOD and provide the CC for it. Obviously this one has more issues than the first option, considering the sheer amount of streamers and potential VODs, but it is an option that could be considered. Adding CC to live action, I understand would be a too costly endeavor and that's without considering the technical issues that might arise from it; but for a VOD it should be possible to have CC accessibility. Are there enough people out there who desire to have closed captions provided for the deaf and hard of hearing?

16. Revert stream title and info from top of screen to original position

    The new stream info, being located above the stream is distracting and cluttered. Total eye sore and distracting.

18. Revert the mobile update

    Revert the mobile app update, it's horrendous and nobody likes it. It's hard to navigate, especially for neurodivergent people. It's also ugly. I liked the simplicity of the old layout, it was easy to navigate and I could get to certain streams faster.

19. Be able to favorite channels that you follow

    It'd be nice to split the channels that you follow and favorite the ones that are of your friends or people you care about to be able to navigate to their channel easily. Sometimes I want to look at my friends twitch profiles without having to scroll and find them or type out their entire username and make the mistake of mistyping their username.

20. Subtitles

    I think it can be hard to hear and understand everything and can see in chat, many users have this problem too.
    So let the single users chose subtitles or not subtitles, just like they also have at YouTube.
    Steamers do not know this problem real and why no one chose subtitles.
