Closed Caption Translations
Can we add an ability for users to be able to translate closed captions? I recently added them to my stream to try to help a viewer who doesn't speak English and I could only talk to them through chat, but I was bummed to realize that he can't see them in his language.
I realize that it would cost Twitch money to translate captions through a server, but it also seems like such a basic thing for the user experience. I'm sure there are streamers that I would like, but I can't understand their stream due to the language barrier.

Given the errors that automated captioning already frequently produces, adding automated translation would both compound those and add errors of its own.
(Many languages cannot be easily translated 1:1 in a live environment like that, as one might naïvely expect if they didn't know better.)Twitch may be hesitant to accept the risks and liabilities of mistranslations that could be offensive or otherwise cause issues.

An idea if possible would be to add Annotations for other languages so you might have an easier time understanding a foreign language streamer and keeping connected in their chat.

To increase the viewer experience, you can integrate AI-powered instant translators into the twitch player and make them available to subscribers or prime users. for example, if we cannot understand a favorite or favorite broadcaster because of a language barrier, this can be a great solution. today there are great artificial intelligence that can translate from language to language instantly and we can use it as a browser plugin, but some errors and inadequacies may occur, I think you can offer this service to us viewers in the most efficient way by integrating this service with twitch thanks :)
