I am reposting this issue in the extension bugs uservoice in the hope it gets more traction than the original post from 2 years ago that was posted in the creator dashboard uservoice forum.

  2. Loyalty points, bits, and emojis are able to be accessed easily just below and beside the chat bar. When you have Sound Alerts (the extension) installed...it only will show 5 sound alerts that you can get with loyalty points in the loyality points tab. It does not show the bit payable Sound Alerts there. Instead, there is a sound alert tab (extension tab) that most viewers do not know about on the actual screen. Lots of streamers make money off these sound alerts. The sound alerts tab (extension tab) on the screen is difficult for the viewer to find and…

  5. You should add the ability for viewers to take and share Screen Shots. That would add so much engagement and content and be helpful too. Make it so the Streamer or mods can pick what to show in chat and on screen.

  6. Streamers hardly know where to find the extension store. This means the work of many third-party developers goes unnoticed. Updates or newly released extensions aren't announced or made visible ANYWHERE on Twitch.

Third-Party tools can make a huge difference, please help developers by making it easier for them to be discovered.

  8. I have idea for Twitch related service (including extension) and I would love to charge streamers whose using the service, by flat amount or by calculations of number of viewers/subs.

The project would consist of 4 parts: the Twitch extension, few cloud services, app installed by the streamer and website for promotion and payments. While I don't think I can charge streamer via Twitch for installing the extension on their channels, there is question: Can I charge the streamer for using the associated app/cloud services?

I imagine the client side app (on the streamer side) in order to work properly…

  9. I have an issue with every extension on twitch. Somehow I can not use them or see them properly, nor can I edit their overlay. http://i.prntscr.com/6yBRgWI-RoGQF7VgFUJc2w.png

How can I fix this? I tried new browsers, updating my extensions, reinstall extensions, tried to use twitch app, clearing internet cache and cookies, relog-in, but still the same. Is something wrong with my account? Because everyone else see them properly shown, I just don't see them right.

  10. None of my panel extensions show up anymore. They were working before, but the cards appear empty now. In extension manager they do show up, but the configuration pop-up is empty.

Edit: They do show up when I'm not logged in. But how do I configure them if I can't see them when I'm logged in!?!

  11. The Extension Action: "followChannel" currently only accepts the channel name.

    window.Twitch.ext.actions.followChannel: void function(channelName: String)

Most of the other extension APIs all use IDs and these are readily available in the extension from the JWT. With the way this API is designed, in order to use it you now have to make an extra network request against the Helix endpoint to get the channelName from the channelId.

My request is to make it so this action supports taking the channelId or that the channelName is exposed in the JWT token.

  12. I've looked through the twitch-dev-discord. And there seem to be many people who like me want to use keyboard-events in their extension.

Keyboard-inputs would make a lot more interesting and fun games possible, instead of the current 5 million versions of the same quiz/sticker-extension.

Since keyboard-events are allowed in <input>, I don't understand why it isn't allowed outside of an input.

Also, I think the documentation should be clarified:
"2.3 Extensions may not use keyboard shortcuts to power functionality."

    What you mean is:
"Extensions may not use keyboard input outside of a input-field to power functionality."

  14. Some of the streamers I watch have since rebranded and changed their twitch name; however, the prime-sub notification shows the old name/another channel in the extension. Perhaps the extension is looking in an older, archaic location for the username? Regardless, it would be nice if the extension reminded people to resubscribe to the correct person.

  15. Viewers should be able to join the stream in a one on one video conference (in front of the rest of the stream) to be able to talk directly to the streamer.

Examples would include having viewers either donating to participate or queuing and when the streamer selects the option, the viewer is also casting to the stream to ask questions or just have a general chat with the host.

This could be a useful way to engage the audience further, encourage more active users and fills gaps between the load times on games etc.

  16. Let streamers know when extensions are down, being worked on, or just plain removed. I've seen a few extensions that were working one day, but the next they weren't and yet were still there when you look for them. You couldn't get them but they were there. Then a few days later it was gone and yet streamers only know if they search for it.

  17. One of the main problems streamers of competitive online titles face daily is stream sniping. You see it across most main stream titles, from League of Legends to Call of Duty: WarZone. One of the ways this is dealt with, is the hidden map. On each game, streamers are finding ways to hide their mini map, or full screen map to avoid stream snipers. I am suggesting an extension which will allow subscribers to see past this veil. When I watch League of Legends streamers, I am frustrated because I am not able to see the mini map but understand…

  20. Implement a way for viewers to control their own audio levels
for example i use twitch studio and have my game audio and mic audio but regulating it per game can be a hassle and people of different types of hearing will have different experiences/preference could i stream these two different audio sources in a way that allows the viewers to select the values of each one separately through some sort of extra extension.

dont wanna hear the streamer just came for gameplay mute them turn up the game

bit hard of hearing turn the game down turn the speech…
