Streamers/Creators should be able to opt-out of military recruitment ads
Streamers should have the ability to opt-out of certain ads, particularly military recruitment ads. Some creators may have a younger audience. The streamer should reserve the right to protect that audience. The military ad complex is already vast and has deep roots within Twitch. If a streamer does not want that sort of content on their channel, they should be able to block it. Additionally, this option should be able to be seen publicly. Parents who check their children’s activity might want to be able to know a streamer opts out of Military recruitment ads targeted at minors.

couldn't agree more...as a former San Francisco Juvenile Public Defender I learned early on that our youths' brains don't fully develop until the age of 25...no recruiting ads in any space and especially not ones that appeal to our youth...

As a former US Army ****** I reject predatorial military recruitment. Streamers should have the right to have their content free of military recruitment ads. These ads are produced without consent with our tax payer money and perpetuate myths about military service and the role of the US Armed Forces. Please allow streamers to opt out of having these ads on their channels. - Garett Reppenhagen - Veterans For Peace

There is no shortage of advertisers. Advertise something else on my channel.

The military should not be able to target a child audience through twitch. And like in other instances where military recruiting happens, users should be able to opt out and have informed consent. Most importantly, the military has no place in our gaming and leisure spaces

As a parent, I would appreciate this function to further ensure my child's safety when engaging with trusted content creators.
