I am also receiving ads on a channel that I am absolutely certain does not have ads enabled for subs, using the Twitch viewer, no VPN and no ad blocker. I see these complaints go back almost two years at this point, and this is not the only bug report on the subject. Nice to see Twitch is as responsive on PC as they are about mobile app issues (cue laughter as I walk into the distance.)

This is happening to me on all my subbed channels. I'm even seeing ads during streams I am broadcasting using Stream Manager and Mod view. I too am using Chrome and I don't use a VPN. I typically have to refresh several times before the ads go away.

twitch really fix your ad bs I'm tier 2 sub in iDrkTV yet I'm seeing ads and yes it makes me not want to even use twitch anymore had less issue to dlive

This is happening to me on multiple streams to which I am subscribed. I hadn't seen ads once due to my subscription but now I get them all.

It's unfortunate because I subscribe both to support the streamer and eliminate ads. I don't feel like I'm getting what I paid for (no ads) and Twitch is relying on me continuing to care for the content creator so they can keep taking my money. Really scummy stuff, @Twitch.

the same happened to me multiple times on three different channels, all having ads for subscribers disabled, notably @Dinklebean, @DigbyThathamWarter and @SovietWomble. I access the channel and get a preroll Ad. i use Firefox, so it shouldnt be a browser problem. I really dont like ads, wich is a reason why i subscribe to several channels. so i find it even more annoying and tbh a bit encroaching to have them anyway. fix this, Twitch.

Edit (2022-08-24): The Problem has escalated into several ads within an hour and even 2 ads together now.

@Twitch, you are either too incompetent to solve this problem or you are lying to your customers. i dont know what would be worse.

I'm having the same issue with seeing ads during Hitbotc's stream, to who I'm subbed too, that does not show ads to subs (confirmed). Also I do not see any other place to place this issue...

I've been getting the same issue on specific streams. I've checked with them and they've shown me their settings personally, they do NOT have it enabled to show ads to subscribers. They have the same settings as me, but their subscribers are still seeing ads.

Same issue here, recently I get ads for channels that I'm subscribed to. Even checked with the streamer and they said they're not manually playing ads. Usually happens 10-15 minutes into the stream and refreshing the page solves it, but that can't seriously be the solution? I'm not going to continue any subs until this is fixed.

It only happens to me with a small streamer (Kayosama25). I've been subbed for 15 months and I am getting ads now and then. I am subbed to many other channels, like Ibai and not a single ad appears. I thought it was my browser, Brave, but I am also receiving in my mobile phone.

I'm having the same issue on Desktop using the Brave Browser. I've tried going through and disabling all ad block extensions and related items but still get ads on subbed channels pre roll and mid roll.

I have been having the exact same issue. On every single channel I'm subbed to, including but not limited to RayNarvaezJr, SpacemanSplash, BaldZebra, and MaikenBacon. I've been a very, VERY longtime sub of Ray (over 6 years, almost 7), and have only just started to get this issue as of 11/8/2021. I've never had ads on any channel I've been subbed to until now. I want to continue to support my friends.

Can confirm this is happening to me randomly as of yesterday, 11/10/2021. Affected channels at least include BoxyFresh, Beardageddon, Headsplitter500, and DramaMoon6. Logging in and out does not affect this behavior.

I should not see ads because I'm paying a subscription to these channels (and more). Please implement a better control to verify subscription status of a viewer, because as it stands you are double dipping.

I subscribe to get rid of ads, but now I get them on. Canceling my subscriptions tonight
