Announce upcoming ads in the chat Add a feature where it announces upcoming ads in the chat as an optional feature so users can enable or disable it.
For people with 1 monitor like myself, I have no idea when ads are coming. I can talk though the ads (as they aren't short) and I have no idea no one can hear me.
I, and many others with a single monitor, use SLOBS chat overlay to see chat or other programs that overlay the chat.

333 votesThanks for your feedback - we've been experimenting with improving the ad experience; and to help streamers know when an ad break is about run in a more convenient format, we've rolled out the chat countdown timer. Please note that this feature is accessible to streamers who have ads scheduled with the Ads Manager and the chat timer countdown is only visible to the streamer. A 5-min heads up message will pop up to notify you that an ad is scheduled to run, and you'll have the option to snooze or pull an upcoming ad ahead, directly from chat.

Remove mid-roll ads Cancel the testing of mid-roll ads on affiliate and partner channels. Your viewer base doesn't want this and creators don't want ads playing out of their control interrupting their content

Get rid of the purple screen I commonly get these stupid purple screens saying that I should disable any adblockers and such in the middle of streams, sometimes multiple in the same stream only 10-15 minutes apart. Each one lasts for SEVERAL minutes, which makes watching streams much more uncomfortable because im missing a lot of content and having to listen and watch nothing. Are these supposed to be midroll ads despite the fact that you guys got rid of them??

Give Streamer a hint (countdown) before a mid-roll ad will start So mid-roll ads are going to happen, if we like it or not
How about telling the creator before they happen so that they still have time to do an ad break on their terms?
What if 10min before a mid-roll ad would take place the ad button in the stream manager turns red and displays a 10min countdown. The creator will have 10min to do an ad break on his/her terms - if he/she does, no (additional) mid-roll ad; if he/she doesn’t, play the mid-roll ad after the countdown is over
That way you get what you want which…

Let streamers control the ad timing Obviously we don't want Twitch to lose money and die out like other streaming platforms. The ads are a necessary evil. Let streamers control when the ads drop during the stream. Give them a requirement for how many ads have to be run per hour, or whatever the terms are, but let them determine when they run. Bathroom & food breaks would be ideal. Some streamers find the beginning of the stream critical, so running pre-roll is a bad idea for them. If the streamer doesn't run the required number of ads, hit them where it hurts - their wallets.…

Make a stream Ad-free for subs Since you're already supporting the streamer, you shouldn't be disturbed with other minor income methods, and this would also add another incentive for subscribing to a channel.
This should be an alternative for Prime users too, who are still dissapointed for not having their ad-free experience anymore, without harming the earnings of streamers.

If a channel raids another channel the raiders shouldn't be greeted by an ad When a channel raids another channel the raiding viewers shouldn't be greeted by an ad immediately. It disrupts the fun flow of things for the raiding viewers, and can disrupt the flow of users sending raid messages as a collective whole. It also entices raiding viewers to abort the raid on their end by closing their browser to avoid the ad. It's damaging more than helpful.
