More Subscription Options
Twitch has a rather old subscription system that honestly needs to be updated. Patreon, a site that allows unpartnered streamers still accept subscriptions from their viewers allows the user to choose the amount they want to subscribe for. This system is very reliable compared to Twitch's. One big improvement that needs to be made for the system, is the ability to choose the amount/per month a viewer wants to pay. So, as a result, Twitch could have a VIP service where the more you pay, the more you are rewarded. For example, a person with $1 per month may get 3 emotes of their choosing, however a $5 per month might receive 3 emotes of their choosing AND include ad-free service, etc.

I suspect this was originally added prior to the Tier 2/3 options being added, based on the below comments. However in regards to going lower than $5, assuming ads are not touched for anything below the $5 minimum, it could work. I don't know anyone that actually pays for a subscription for emotes, they're mostly the type of thing that are nice when ya have them, no big deal if you don't.
That said, offering a $1/month tier would work extremely well in building a channel's community. Enabling sub-only mode and having a $1 tier would allow for actual communication to occur, rather than a rapidly streaming waterfall of vomit. Also it has been said that psychologically, people tend not to value things they get for free, but paying even just $1 moves that thing they paid for into a place of value in their minds. That helps the brand of the channel and of Twitch as a whole. And Twitch, (*whispers*) we web developers know what happens once a credit card gets saved to a site, it makes any future sales quite a bit easier to make, wink wink.

yes, we need to end regional pricing. twitch forcing me to charge the same for my t1 sub as a subscription to Disney+, i cant compete with Disney content. ill be the first to tell you D+ has way better value proposition than i do with million dollar episode budgets and huge back catalogue of popular IP like marvel and star wars. twitch thinks someone is going to pay that just to get some emotes in my channel? it forces me to either quit streaming or spend a ton of time and capital to grind out more content hoping that someone will sub to me instead of Disney+, since people dont have infinite money and can only watch 1 thing at a time. if i continue to stream the content i want to stream i will never get a sub at the same price as Disney.

This is a great idea. Call it something like a Super Sub. Maybe adding a highlight to the sub icon. It would seem like a win win for everyone. Would reduce the need for fake accounts and would give us a way to show extra support for those special streamers.

There are a lot of streamers who have emotes I like, but I don't watch them so I can't justify 5 dollars a month. Instead, I suggest being able to subscribe to an emote for a lower price (Say, .50c - $1 per emote) to be able to support the streamer and still feel justified in my purchase.

Lately I've been witnessing in some of the "big streams" a lot of ppl creating multiple accounts just so they can sub to their favorite streams in all of them.
instead of that why not create different "levels" of subscription options. if for example someone makes 10 accounts to sub why not allow them to sub for 50$ a month in just 1 account instead of making 10 accounts and subbing with each and one of them? always keeping the 5$ as a minimum sub value. Maybe just throw in some sort of reward for those that witch want to show their appreciation subbing for higher values by adding something to they sub icons (ex a crown on top of the sub icon perhaps). -

I agree that Twitch should provide more optipns than just the 5 dollar lock, there should be more options!

I agree with this. The subscription should not be hardlocked at 5 usd, and Twitch should also not be receiving 50% maybe 25% but not half of the slice because althoygh they are providers, they are not doing most of the work when a streamer is streaming
