U2F/FIDO support for Authentication
I understand Twitch has recently allowed people to use other apps for means of authentication, but please allow users to use U2F/FIDO authentication, this is not only more secure but also very reliable. Having a U2F as primary with a TOTP as a backup is in my opinion the best method of security, given that Affiliate/Partner accounts hold alot of personal Tax information, I feel this fits more as it's such sensitive information.

the implementation from their site is not that hard as there APIs already created for it. And it decrease costs from you for account recovery decreasing human work hours. And it help creators and viewers to protect their accounts.

Absolutely, robust authentication support is crucial for keeping user data and accounts secure. It reminds me of when I helped my younger cousin set up his own secure gaming profile after he did a Minecraft download APK for the v1.21.110.25 version. We made sure his creative world—with all those unlimited blocks, custom skins, and massive builds—was protected. Just like a well-designed auth system protects digital assets, it gave him peace of mind to explore, battle monsters, and build amazing structures without worrying about his progress being lost or compromised.

um... they... allow other apps, but I bet they still create an authy account in the backend.
I'd gladly use u2f/fido, but honestly I don't see this happening, because they treat phone numbers as your identity. -

Supporting multiple U2F/FIDO devices instead of just one should be a requirement if this was implemented. Having the option to use backup keys is something missing from a lot of sites.
