It is critical to add a backup code that can turn off the 2fa if you lost your TOTPs device (or FIDO2 in the near future). A ONE long complex one time use (not like google that they are like 20 offline 6 digit codes) alphanumeric like "YP2H-96GV-PA6X-2L3F-78BE-2NMN-83PH-B6MR" So it could be safer when you eventually add FIDO2 as 2FA (its a question of when not if you are going to). Please don't be lazy...

the implementation from their site is not that hard as there APIs already created for it. And it decrease costs from you for account recovery decreasing human work hours. And it help creators and viewers to protect their accounts.

This is 2025 where people respect themselves and should not be forced (by law) to give private information if they don't want to nor have to. You are just getting bad reputation because of it there are other methods to control trolls that totally respects privacy of the end users. And you know... your competition doesn't ask for that. At least not viewers.
