1. Alexa Skill

   Not really a TV app but closest category I could find, I think an Alexa Video Skill would be great for twitch as I would love to be able to watch streams on my Echo Show, seems strange that this isn't already a thing considering that Twitch is owned by Amazon lol, obv would then be able to utilise features such as connected Echo devices for surround sound as well as the 3D Sound and Subwoofer products they also sell for this ecosystem

2. Fire TV VOD

   Watching twitch on the Fire TV (Stick) app is actually possible since the updates last year, but some features are still missing.

   I logged into my account and was missing the tab for VODs of my followed channels.
   So there is no easy way to find out what streams of your followed channels you may have missed. Even if you know you missed one, you have to go to their page first which especially is a nuisance if you follow alot of channels which you have to scroll through. Using the remote control to search for a channel is even worse, so not an option for me.
   (Sidenote: there is no date on the VODs on their channel page)

   I also find it kinda strange that there is a tab to "continue watching" (which doesn't include streams you only saw parts of live) easily showing you the VODs you had to search so hard for in the first place, if that makes any sense..

   I hope we can get that tab for all the videos of channels we follow, just like the 'Videos' tab in the browser.

3. auto play on the TV App

   On PC, when you finish one VoD, it basically loads up another vod for you to watch. I would like to see that functionality on the twitch TV app, as I enjoy putting on streamers vods while I play a game, or when I lay down for bed, and most of the streamers I watch don't stream for more than 4 or 5 hours, the current TV app will basically shut off once the video ends.

4. Scrubbing for Android TV

   The current Android TV only has fast forward/rewind buttons with no image preview. This is less functionality than a VCR. Scrubbing (with image previews) is a must have for any video player. At least add image previews to the fast forward/rewind

5. Chromecast issues

   It has the same issues as in 2016.
   Please fix this.
   1080p stutters.
   Some streams just visually freezes for a second now and then.
   Some people dont have the NEWEST tv so you cant use the smarttv to get the app. Please Twitch, fix this!

6. Link to a user's profile while in a different channel's chat

   "Guys, you should follow Emma , seriously! She is an amazing music streamer."

   When streamer Dan said this, I wanted to be able to do these things in this order:

   1) figure out who this "Emma" was that he was talking about (a mod's !so shoutout helped here)

   2) easily get to Emma's channel to follow her

   3) come right back and continue watching Dan

   4) be able to check out Emma in more depth later (this is already easy, once I'm following Emma)

   Now, the feature request(s).

   SCENARIO A: (less work to implement, but also less intuitive and less beneficial to the viewer than SCENARIO B below.)

   On the Twitch for Fire TV app, I can navigate to a list of current viewers (while still watching the channel). This is good. When I scrolled to find Emma's name, I was able to click on it, which was great - I was so close to my goal!

   But when the menu options appeared, there were only two:

   • Report
   • Block

   What I wanted:

   • Report
   • Block
   • View Profile

   The "View Profile" option would take me to Emma's profile, temporarily leaving Dan's channel.

   I would then look at Emma's content, select whether to click the "Follow" button, click it (or not click it), then hit "Back" to return to Dan's channel, where I was immediately previous to coming to Emma's profile.

   Expected Steps:

   1. Navigate to Dan's channel.
   2. Make sure the chat is visible.
   3. Press left four times to navigate to the Viewers list button (it says the # of current viewers and has a two-person icon on it).
   4. Click that viewers list button. The list of current viewers appears.
   5. Scroll to or search for Emma's username and click on it. A menu appears that contains a "View Profile" option (in the same list with the "Report" and "Block" options).
   6. Click "View Profile". Emma's profile should appear.
   7. Click Follow. A visual cue tells me I'm now following her (I believe the button changes to "Unfollow" - this is not new functionality.)
   8. Click Back. I should be taken back to Dan's stream.

   Step 8's navigation flow is similar to when a streamer raids another - a message appears asking if I, the viewer, want to visit the raided streamer's channel, which I click, and can then immediately click "Back" to return to the original streamer's channel. This "Back" navigation journey should be preserved in a similar way with this idea.

   There are improvements you could make to this process, but I feel like it would take the least development to do it this way (SCENARIO A).

   SCENARIO B: (maybe more work to develop, but more intuitive and more beneficial to the user/viewer)

   A more streamlined way to get to Emma's profile when viewing Dan's chat feed: press "up-arrow" one or more times (or press & hold it to scroll faster) on the fire tv remote to start navigating back/up through the chat feed (navigating backwards in time). Each time I click up, the next most recent @username is highlighted. When it gets to Emma's username (e.g. @EmmaJonesTheSinger is highlighted), I click on it, and the "View Profile" option appears. Similar to step 6 above, I click on "View Profile", and steps 7-8 play out similarly to SCENARIO A ("Follow", then "Back" to return to Dan's channel).

   One clarification: as I ascend the chat list (going back in time), the usernames of the authors of the messages are the ones that are highlighted (and scroll into view), AS WELL AS the names that are @mentioned in the message text bodies. So if @Bob says "@Sally is cool", then @John says "Cool, I'll check her profile out" in that order in chat, then as I am navigating back through the chat, John's name would be highlighted, then Sally's name within Bob's message would be highlighted, then Bob's name would be highlighted - essentially, in the reverse order that they appeared in chat when originally submitted.

   Hitting the "Back" button while a name is highlighted will return you to the present (i.e. most recent chat message) in real time, and re-highlight the "Chat about this channel..." button.

   I like SCENARIO B's scrolling-back-through-chat method better, in fact, because I get to reread the chat messages even if I don't click on any names. Chat messages often pass by so incredibly quickly that no human mind can process them all in real time. :D

   So, SCENARIO B has more benefit and solves more problems.

   The only reason I would choose SCENARIO A over B is if it is significantly less work to implement, making it easier on your developers. Most of the structure already exists for SCENARIO A.

7. Transparent mode

   Transparent view of chat on the web browser/AppleTv etc. similarly to the mobile version. Lastly, if something could tell if you are watching on appletv, roku, firetv and it automatically asks if you want to just view chat from your smartphone.

8. Fire TV display only streams in default language

   In the popular tab, please make some easy way to display streams only in default language. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this right now is to go to the search bar and type in "English" etc.
   It is quite a hassle to scroll past all of these other language streams that I cannot understand.

9. Make "Non-Mod Chat Delay" available in smaller increments

   Twitch offers this feature: https://www.twitch.tv/yourchannel/dashboard/settings/moderation "Non-Mod Chat Delay", but currently it is only available for 2-second increments. I understand that this was probably designed with human moderation in mind, but this option is also very useful for automatic moderation with chat bots, but the delay would have to be lower. I ask for this setting to be available in 0.1-second increments so it can be set to e.g. 0.3 seconds or 0.5 seconds to prevent messages from showing up for brief moments before a bot times out the user.

    There are tons of twitch users who wanna watch twitch on their smart TV's without using cast programs . People wanna watch twitch just using their TV's . Hear us devs pls . Including LG , Samssung , Sony , Philips and other brands .

13. Family Mode on TV

    I leave my account logged in on the family smart TV. I'd like to block channels not marked family-friendly behind a PIN if possible. Even better, I'd like to consider certain games as not family friendly. We often see shooters marked family friendly.

    This is a request to add back an endpoint that only returns the single object of the current user. At paths such as:

16. Add a language filter option on the Amazon Fire TV app

    Title. Given the stability and usability of the app as a whole, having to /attempt/ to cycle through several screens worth of channels is already a gamble. Please allow the Fire TV app to have an option to filter by language, or embed the setting within the user account settings.

17. More exposure to Creative and IRL categories

    Creative and IRL categories have been available, in some form, on Twitch for nearly 3 years now, ever since the Bob Ross series was marathoned. Yet, despite the existence of these categories, people are woefully unaware of the existence of any of them, except the biggest two: Just chatting, and Music and performing arts. The latter of which is usually overrun by 24/7 radio channels, while Just chatting is still a "catch-all" category for even content that should be categorized under the specific ones (eg. Travel and outdoors, etc).

    It's not uncommon for people to comment along the lines of "wow, I didn't know people were streaming this on Twitch" when a Creative channel is raided by a Gaming channel, or when a musician is raided by a Gaming channel. "Actual talent on Twitch" is a bit of a meme now, which I've heard so often myself.

    My suggestion:
    https://www.twitch.tv/directory needs to change. Instead of mixing in the non-gaming categories with the gaming one, and sorting them by viewership, pin the non-gaming categories to the very top regardless of viewership counts. These categories desperately need the exposure, and have some of the most unique content on Twitch (and most of Twitch is still unaware of their existence). This will not impact the gaming channels, as people already know that Twitch is a platform that started off as a game streaming platform. The gaming categories can follow below the non-gaming ones, and will still be sorted by viewership.

    People need to know that these categories exist, so that more people will explore them, and discover the unique streamers. Streamers who have so much creativity to share with the rest of Twitch.

18. Bring back the Roku channel!

    The Twitch app was removed from the Roku Channel Store and will no longer receive updates is the word from Roku. I'm not buying a Fire TV to watch it, Amazon. I tried your Fire TV and Roku just works better; plus Roku makes it easier to find my channels which are buried under all your Amazon garbage on Fire TV. Limiting the ways people can watch content from entities you own seems like shooting yourself in the foot.

19. "Jump to" - in the AndroidTV-App

    Currently, in the AndroidTV Twitch-App, you can only move through a VOD by 10 second-steps, which can be really annoying, for example, if you try to skip the first 2 hours of a VOD.
    I would greatly appreciate an option to put in a time to jump to inside a VOD, so you don't have to click forward a few hundred times anymore.

20. Nvidia shield TV app Followed Games section always disappears

    The "Followed Games" section row, keeps disappeared when I try to navigate to that row in the Nvidia shield TV Twitch app, and then it is only "Live channels" and "Followed channels" left on that screen.

    This is annoying me to no end. Please fix?
