  1. Push notification/widget for follow alerts, subscriber alerts, overtop of other apps, so that if we are distracted by the game while streaming on IOS, and possibly chat notifications also, so that streamers can see what their chat is saying without having a second device. This could also be used for donations, hosts, raids, bits. As long as the chat message isn’t too long, it should work for that also, but most streamers, would likely be happy to have the notifications for the follows, subs, etc, and still use a second device for chat, but that way for smaller streamers, they…

  2. The YouTube app has background code that synchronizes the Bluetooth audio and video, it would be great if the twitch app did this, seen as how manufacturers are moving away from the 3.5mm jack.

Everyone is starting to use Bluetooth earbuds, and there is a good 0.5 sec delay.

  3. I love to view all the fun moments I’ve clipped from streams and it’s a hassle to only be able to view them from a desktop website. It’d be really convenient to watch and manage them from the app.

  6. Since I play on my couch (and only have one monitor) I'd like to have the functionality of the desktop stream manager on my mobile device. Essentially, I'd like to be able to raid channels, see the ad timer, and so on from my mobile device. Also, I'd like to be able to run my stream manager from mobile horizontally. Don't know why it's locked vertically.

  7. When browsing on mobile, i have to reset my language tag EVERY new category i look through. It would be great if they would stay, just like on Desktop site. I only speak/read English and having to trudge through searching for English can get very tiredsome and eventually i give up and don't even watch anything until i get back to my PC.

Also, why 2 English tags, with no distiction between them. I understand one is Brittish/UK English and the other American English, but they both only say "English". There's really not much difference between the 2 either and…

  8. I do a lot of streaming directly through my phone on the twitch app. It would be nice to have the option to type in chat while streaming on my phone.

  9. Making everything about the channel layout more accessible to mobile users would be a huge advantage, as currently the experience for mobile users is heavily compromised (inability for mobile users to interact with Twitch Polls is the exact reason I don't use them, for example).
If the changes to this can be made in a way that makes it easier to communicate things like schedule and 'about the streamer' to a mobile user, I can get behind that, but otherwise I find there is very little redeeming about this new layout.

  13. Make video player take up less space on iOS & iPadOS. Currently trying to scrub through Vods is insanely infuriating due to the video player taking up 2/3 of the screen, of course it less worse on iPad, but still far away from good. A easy solution would be to hide the bottom three buttons.

  15. Devices Tested:
    Google Pixel 6
    Google Pixel XL
    OnePlus 6T

    Twitch App Version 13.0.0

Ever since the latest Twitch App update on Android, the battery drains when Chromecasting to a TV, as if the stream is playing full-screen on the phone. In a test, the battery on my Pixel 6 drained from 100% to 10% in one hour, with the Twitch App accounting for 99% of the usage, despite video playback being on a TV and the phone being in sleep mode.

  16. I’m on my phone and chromecasting to my tv. But for some reason the volume I have on my phone will lock to what I had when I started casting. So going to other apps while casting is very annoying because the volume is locked to what you want the tv to be on. YouTube has a smother casting experience and I would like twitch’s to be better

  18. A clips section in every category on Twitch, you can swipe up or down to travel between clips. Clips can be rated through a slider on the side. I think this feature would be great for not only streamers, but normal Twitch users as well. This short clips section would have its own place aside from streams, for example: Top rated clips would have their own space in the main Twitch page.

  19. Play In Background claims it will switch to audio only mode when the screen is locked. I have it enabled.

When I have the app open and I lock the screen or swipe down from tho top of the screen to open the iOS notification center, the audio does continue playing.

When I leave the app while a stream is playing, the stream continues playing in a picture-in-picture mode. If I then lock the screen or open the iOS notification center, the playback pauses rather than switching to audio only mode and continuing.

This is especially annoying when pressing play…

  20. Currently, people viewing a stream can not put their channel points into community challenges if they're on mobile. This sometimes makes them feel less than people who are watching from a PC as they aren't getting the same opportunities. It can also mean that community challenges aren't getting to 100% due to a huge number of their community being on mobile.

My suggestion is to allow mobile users to use their points on community challenges.
