  1. I recently upgraded my phone to the Pixel 5 with a hole punch camera in the front.

Netflix and Youtube support this via a pinch out zoom and fills the width of the screen, it appears that the Twitch app is almost there as it seems to support a pinch out zoom but it won't go all the way over and stops with a black bar over the camera and status bar area.

I would like the pinch out to zoom to fill the whole screen! Thank you

  2. I've came across a problem I cant easily access the full twitch streaming capability on the mobile app.
I also cannot access account on Samsung Galaxy Tab which would allow me slightly more access as bigger screen
Also I cannot access account on laptop with windows 10. This is completely ruining my streaming experience

  3. I do a lot of streaming directly through my phone on the twitch app. It would be nice to have the option to type in chat while streaming on my phone.

  4. When using wide aspect phones in landscape, if you open the chat it overlays the video while there's still space to the left. A better solution is to move the video left while leaving the chat on the right, using the whole screen space. (Similar to what Google meet does when opening the chat)

  5. Push notification/widget for follow alerts, subscriber alerts, overtop of other apps, so that if we are distracted by the game while streaming on IOS, and possibly chat notifications also, so that streamers can see what their chat is saying without having a second device. This could also be used for donations, hosts, raids, bits. As long as the chat message isn’t too long, it should work for that also, but most streamers, would likely be happy to have the notifications for the follows, subs, etc, and still use a second device for chat, but that way for smaller streamers, they…

  6. The YouTube app has background code that synchronizes the Bluetooth audio and video, it would be great if the twitch app did this, seen as how manufacturers are moving away from the 3.5mm jack.

Everyone is starting to use Bluetooth earbuds, and there is a good 0.5 sec delay.

  7. I love to view all the fun moments I’ve clipped from streams and it’s a hassle to only be able to view them from a desktop website. It’d be really convenient to watch and manage them from the app.

  9. On the tablet version of the iOS Twitch mobile app, chat is normally positioned to the right side of the screen and is about the same width as on desktop.

    https://i.imgur.com/fYfgftd.jpg

When the software keyboard is enabled, chat expands to fill the upper-right quadrant of the screen while the stream stays in the upper left quadrant, which is normal.

However, when a hardware keyboard is connected, the software keyboard does not appear while typing; unfortunately, the chat still expands to fill half of the available screen real estate, minimizing the stream to the left.

    Frustratingly, the screen has…

  10. Since I play on my couch (and only have one monitor) I'd like to have the functionality of the desktop stream manager on my mobile device. Essentially, I'd like to be able to raid channels, see the ad timer, and so on from my mobile device. Also, I'd like to be able to run my stream manager from mobile horizontally. Don't know why it's locked vertically.

  11. Play In Background claims it will switch to audio only mode when the screen is locked. I have it enabled.

When I have the app open and I lock the screen or swipe down from tho top of the screen to open the iOS notification center, the audio does continue playing.

When I leave the app while a stream is playing, the stream continues playing in a picture-in-picture mode. If I then lock the screen or open the iOS notification center, the playback pauses rather than switching to audio only mode and continuing.

This is especially annoying when pressing play…

  14. Making everything about the channel layout more accessible to mobile users would be a huge advantage, as currently the experience for mobile users is heavily compromised (inability for mobile users to interact with Twitch Polls is the exact reason I don't use them, for example).
If the changes to this can be made in a way that makes it easier to communicate things like schedule and 'about the streamer' to a mobile user, I can get behind that, but otherwise I find there is very little redeeming about this new layout.

  15. I have downloaded the update for twitch and now whenever I hold my phone sideways I can't see what I'm watching fully because chat is 1/4 in the way of he screen. Making the chat almost transparent and then putting it on the full screen was possibly the worst idea you could have. I'm not asking for rollbacks, just fix this!

  18. Make video player take up less space on iOS & iPadOS. Currently trying to scrub through Vods is insanely infuriating due to the video player taking up 2/3 of the screen, of course it less worse on iPad, but still far away from good. A easy solution would be to hide the bottom three buttons.

  19. Devices Tested:
    Google Pixel 6
    Google Pixel XL
    OnePlus 6T

    Twitch App Version 13.0.0

Ever since the latest Twitch App update on Android, the battery drains when Chromecasting to a TV, as if the stream is playing full-screen on the phone. In a test, the battery on my Pixel 6 drained from 100% to 10% in one hour, with the Twitch App accounting for 99% of the usage, despite video playback being on a TV and the phone being in sleep mode.

  20. I’m on my phone and chromecasting to my tv. But for some reason the volume I have on my phone will lock to what I had when I started casting. So going to other apps while casting is very annoying because the volume is locked to what you want the tv to be on. YouTube has a smother casting experience and I would like twitch’s to be better
