Issue persists with new app update released in January 5th…. Possibly even worse!

Yep, and like others have experienced it’s not just vods, it happens during live streams. If I leave it on the black screen long enough the apple tv will go to sleep. sadge.

Don't think they are ever going to fix this. Seems like it's low priority.

It’s now doing it while I watch live streaming. I have to pause and unpause to watch. DURING LIVE!

It makes watching vods an aggravation. Pause/unpause on the black screen will show the picture again

This looks really pathetic, Twitch.

Given that Twitch are ignoring this issue, I would suggest reporting this directly to Apple and requesting they review the apps suitability to be on the Apple TV app store given its badly broken.

Additionally leaving a 1 star review on the app store may also be a means to draw attention to this issue given Twitch seem incapable of fixing it or communicating with their users.

Why hasn’t twitch posted anything about this? Can you people not fix your own app?

Not even asking you to re-add the creatures you pulled, fix the **** UX, or anything. Just make the video work, please.
