  2. In order to
utilize the iPhone XS Max’s huge screen you could move the video a little more to the left side where it would not conflict with the notch in order to have more unused black space at the right side for the chat because right now the chat blocks the right side of the video but there’s a lot of unused screen left. Would just make the viewing experience on the XS Max (or any other phone that has a big screen) a lot better.

  3. So it's been pointed out recently with some of the twitch app adjustments that we have options for Background Audio on Android.

This partly came as a shock, because: A) It's only possible to listen two audio specifically if they have encoder options for Video. B) After it was added into settings it was defaulted as "never" over the other two options.

While troubleshooting with a streamer and other individuals in chat, it seems that these options are not the same on Android and IOS; in that, Android has them -- IOS does not, is there a pending update or…

  4. The popout video player is too small on android. You need to enable the resize feature like other apps have including mx player and new pipe. Currently I'm using a 3rd party twitch app to play streams via mx player, just so I can resize the popout player.

I will continue to ignore the official twitch app until this is fixed.

  5. I do mod on PC also, but when I want to sit back and relax while modding is difficult. I want to be able to see what the mod comments are when someone is banned in chat without going back to my pc.

  6. Introduce the ability to clear viewing history in app.

Twitch, as of writing is roughly 110 MB in size.
The app data (for me) is 450 MB and steadily growing.

Youtube, in comparison is 140 MB.
The data use is only 40 MB.

What is the difference? Why must the Twitch app be so storage hungry?

  7. I don't know if this is an oversight on Twitch's behalf, but you must realise that the text size on your apps is tiny. It's too small to be used comfortably by some users.

For many people either with bad eyesight or using their phones and tables to keep up with chat whilst streaming they have to put up with this tiny text that gets in the way of the enjoyment of streaming.

I, amongst others plead with you Twitch, please put larger font sizes in chat for those that need them. Be inclusive to those with less than perfect…

  8. Changing playback speed on twitch VODs have been useful for quickly scrubbing through archives or slow motion down eventful moments. However, it's currently only available for desktop. It would be a nice feature to be made available for mobile and tablets.

  9. See title. Seems like the mobile app on Android doesn't have closed captioning. I would like to use the app if you can implement closed captioning capability to it. I am deaf and I wanted to watch Bob Ross paintings his happy little trees.

  10. I have downloaded the update for twitch and now whenever I hold my phone sideways I can't see what I'm watching fully because chat is 1/4 in the way of he screen. Making the chat almost transparent and then putting it on the full screen was possibly the worst idea you could have. I'm not asking for rollbacks, just fix this!

  12. I've noticed the following thing on the Android app: when watching a video, an ad comes up (that's fine), but as soon as the ad's over, it cuts back to the video and the playback speed seems to be sped up slightly. It happened to me like 3 times now in the past week. Always the same issue.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

  13. When I watch YouTube on my iPhone I can tap the screen and look at the top to see my battery percent level. On the iPhone twitch app if your phone is sideways, so stream takes up the entire screen, you cant see what percent your battery is at, even if I tap on the screen.

  14. For some reason picture-in-picture stream pauses after pressing home or switching to another app. I don’t think this is intended behaviour, because in other apps video in pip doesn’t pause after switching. It’s not that big of a deal, but it gets annoying really quickly.

  15. Currently, there is no way to determine which parts of a vod are muted while looking at it on a mobile app.
The desktop site already has this feature, and it can help determine whether a vod is worth watching or if it is all muted.
Plus it would make it easier to know where to start and where to skip to next if you are watching a muted vod.

  17. It would be nice if we could send only the video to a device like a chromecast but keep the audio on your phone / tablet. This way you can use your headphone so your not disturbing everyone for those late night watch :)

  18. It would be great to be able to edit dashboard options from the mobile app. Currently mobile website force redirects you to the app. The app dosent actually do much in terms of chanel managment.

  19. Android Widget that shows which of your followed/subscribed streamers are currently active. I use my phone a lot, and being able to view who is streaming from android desktop via a widget would be really nice. Grabs user attention more than a button to go inside the app and check when the phone is littered with buttons.

  20. For mobile, tablets or app on the ps4. It would be awesome to have an autoshutdown if you fall asleep, like I do often. Maybe with a custom timer for individualy shutdown time.
