Cellular failover
On the mobile app, please fix the way that Twitch handles streams when connected to an unreliable or temporarily unavailable connection. Twitch is the only streaming or video app that doesn’t allow buffering and instead crashes the stream after 10-15 seconds of a connection loss. This is completely unacceptable and extremely frustrating. Many of us listen to streams on cellular connections, and it is normal for a connection to be temporarily lost. It is also dangerous, as it can encourage people to restart streams while driving, which is a common use case where this happens. It should not crash the stream. YouTube, as an example, just forces streams to buffer until connection is restored, including on low-latency streams. If you are looking for an example of what I am talking about, try riding the NYC subway while listening to a Twitch stream. That is the easiest way to understand what I am talking about.
Thank you for taking the time to read my entire suggestion. Hoping this gets addressed.
