  1. Broadcasting from abroad is fun, but it might be cool if there is an option in mobile to embed a 1920x1080 and 1080x1920 transparent PNG with a watermark, to keep the branding almost similar to OBS on Desktop.

The fitting watermark image should be selected by detecting the landscape or portrait mode of the phone, and with preparing it for landscape or portrait the quality doesn't look stretched. Also the positioning of each graphical element is ensured to be there as planned - regardless if landscape or portrait.

As this is a local thing, the 2 PNG's are stored local,…

  3. The popout video player is too small on android. You need to enable the resize feature like other apps have including mx player and new pipe. Currently I'm using a 3rd party twitch app to play streams via mx player, just so I can resize the popout player.

I will continue to ignore the official twitch app until this is fixed.

  4. I do mod on PC also, but when I want to sit back and relax while modding is difficult. I want to be able to see what the mod comments are when someone is banned in chat without going back to my pc.

  5. Introduce the ability to clear viewing history in app.

Twitch, as of writing is roughly 110 MB in size.
The app data (for me) is 450 MB and steadily growing.

Youtube, in comparison is 140 MB.
The data use is only 40 MB.

What is the difference? Why must the Twitch app be so storage hungry?

  6. I don't know if this is an oversight on Twitch's behalf, but you must realise that the text size on your apps is tiny. It's too small to be used comfortably by some users.

For many people either with bad eyesight or using their phones and tables to keep up with chat whilst streaming they have to put up with this tiny text that gets in the way of the enjoyment of streaming.

I, amongst others plead with you Twitch, please put larger font sizes in chat for those that need them. Be inclusive to those with less than perfect…

  7. Changing playback speed on twitch VODs have been useful for quickly scrubbing through archives or slow motion down eventful moments. However, it's currently only available for desktop. It would be a nice feature to be made available for mobile and tablets.

  9. Currently, there is no way to determine which parts of a vod are muted while looking at it on a mobile app.
The desktop site already has this feature, and it can help determine whether a vod is worth watching or if it is all muted.
Plus it would make it easier to know where to start and where to skip to next if you are watching a muted vod.

  11. It would be great to be able to edit dashboard options from the mobile app. Currently mobile website force redirects you to the app. The app dosent actually do much in terms of chanel managment.

  12. For mobile, tablets or app on the ps4. It would be awesome to have an autoshutdown if you fall asleep, like I do often. Maybe with a custom timer for individualy shutdown time.

  13. I love watching streams, but I absolutely hate the chat. I want to be able to enjoy it like I would something on my TV and not be bombarded by hundreds of messages a minute of crap I have zero interest in.

  14. While I'm browsing around the various streams, I would like to be able to 'back' to the list I was looking at, rather than start my search all over again. Right now, I go, Browse, [Games/Communities/Popular/Creative], Section, Stream. Then I have no means to go back to were I was (when I hit Browse again, the stream I'm watching goes bottom right) it would be good if it remembered the 'section' you were in and show the same list, then I could move onto the next stream.

  15. I would like to see the title of the game being played by the followed streamer to appear on the mobile notification. For example, instead of "Streamer just went live!" it would say "Streamer just went live playing Game!"

  17. They new Twitch App is using an own Player or sth? There is no volume slider anymore. So if you want to make it louder or quieter you have to use the buttons on the iPad itself and unfortunately they suck. I prefer using the slider in the player.

  18. It seems that live streaming is limited to a maximum resolution of 432p. This is much less than competitors which allow streaming at 720p or 1080p. Also, the lack of URL overlay support for cheer/tip notifications, similar to those provided by other apps like IRLTV and Teradek Live Air Solo, prevent this from being a viable alternative for serious IRL streamers.

These features would help make live streaming more popular using the Twitch app and help enable a one-device solution:

    • Manual selection of stream resolution (480p, 720p, 1080p)
    • Either URL Overlay support or another notification avenue to notify the streamer…

  19. Hello! I was just writing to suggest a landscape UI for the Twitch app on iOS. I'm sure many people watch Twitch on their phone in landscape mode, so I'm sure many people turn their phone to landscape mode before they open the app like I do. Once I open the app, though, I have to return my phone to portrait mode in order to navigate the UI before I can turn it to landscape again after picking a stream to watch. Is this in the works right now?

    Thanks!

  20. Please add an option to stretch the stream/VOD on the android devices with new aspect ratios (18.5:9, 18:9 etc). The native crop to fit are bad for streams.
