Twitch Ik You’re owned by Amazon but surely you can see that this update wasn’t even an update it was a complete downgrade thank god the mobile app is still as good as the console app use to be or else I quite literally wouldn’t use twitch period and Ik I’m not the only one either. Ik you’re trying to cut costs and corners with this downgrade but what the heck twitch we can’t even chat or see the chat anymore… that’s literally apart of the whole twitch experience. Come on guys you have to do better than this if you don’t want ppl to keep leaving and if you don’t want to keep losing money. 🤣🤣🤣

What's the point of watching twitch without the chat, that's like half the experience. Currently I would be better served watching on youtube instead. What a clown decision to remove it

Not being able to use the controller to type in chat or see chat in VODs on PS5 really sucks, please bring back that functionality! This change makes me want to just delete the Twitch app from my PS5 altogether

Do something about this Twitch. This is honestly beyond me how you can end up updating something and making it 10x worse.

Not having access to the chat is terrible and baffling. Most of the streamers I follow do a lot of chatting and I quite literally can't follow along.

My god this was a stupid idea by Twitch. Sometimes I'd casually watch while doing other things at home and occasionally comment to help gamers, other times I'd be watching while mobile gaming and comment to my teammates. If I wanted to use my phone for Twitch, I'd use my phone in the first place. Otherwise the point of using my PS5, PS4, or Smart TV was to use those instead of my phone. I don't know how they haven't reverted this change yet, but they need to, and fast.

Really ****** update, the app is unusable on PS5 now

You’ve absolutely ruined the app on the PS5. Now the live stream is covered by the “go back” button and the streamer’s title. It darkens the whole video. You can’t see chat in VODs. You can’t interact with chat on live streams, use of any of the controller shortcuts has been eliminated, the app is unusable. What is twitch doing to resolve this?

I've used the app through the PlayStation for years now and it hasn't been until this recent update that I've gone looking for answers as to why every quality of life improvement that has been made on the app over the years suddenly gets removed...

The chat feature is barely usable now, and only if your mobile is compatible... which mine isn't, so goodbye chat...

The VOD system has been butchered. My partner stopped using the app for this reason since resuming/browsing old vods has somehow become impossible.

The browse feature has been butchered. You can't even organize how streams are ordered/displayed when you are browsing... no descending order, just total randomness. Try and browse a category with thousands of different streamers looking for a popular streamer that you can't remember the name of. Well goodluck! You have streamers with 5 viewers at the top of your page and streamers with a thousand viewers 30 rows down. Just total chaos.

Not trying to sound crude but chaturbate organizes their streams better than the twitch app...

This is exactly how you get people to stop using your app.

Let's extend this to the Apple TV app as well!

This isn't even all of it, let's not forget how bad the VOD system is now. For example, I watch a streamer who does a lot of different types of things, and he creates playlists for them and because of this he has around 15 total rows of vods and recent broadcasts is on the 11th row. Can you guess where the rows stop? That's right the 10th row, meaning I am unable to watch their most recent streams because for some reason they decided they would limit the amount of rows that can load to10 instead of loading all of their content.

This update has been so pointless imo. While the menus look I guess better, the fact that a major part being to interact with streams in chat is gone on PS5 when this was never an issue before is beyond me on why they removed it. While I do have a phone, a tablet and even a PC, there are times where I don't want to use either of them because of battery getting eaten up or I just don't want to turn on my PC after coming home from work for example. With the PS5 however, I can turn on the console asap, go to the Twitch app and watch immediately and chat...if I could. Idk man. This is very pointless imo and I'm sure a lot of people like me feel the same way. Please include an update or at least give us the option to turn it on or off. Thank you.

I hate the latest update on my PS5, chromecast and smartTV.
- You removed the "continue to watch" section. Bring it back asap!
- You removed the chat in VOD's. Bring this also back asap!

Why is the latest update a huge downgrade in all aspects. Who thought this was a good idea???

As someone who uses the app exclusively to watch VODs with chat, this change made the whole application pointless.

completely ruined the console experience ; the main and only reason for watching on console was to use twitch on a big TV from the bed or couch with an experience almost identical to watching on a computer.

Not being able to see chat on vods is actually insane. Who thought of that? And removing the ability to chat on the console anymore is crazy. The previous version, we were able to toggle fullscreen mode on or off with chat. So why take it away?

Absolutely hate this "upgrade", it just makes the ps5 app incredibly frustrating to use, for all the reasons already listed. Loss of chat for livestreams and VODs, terrible lag and awful changes to the interface making it harder to access streamers' content.

Did anybody test this before Rollout? This is a pure downgrade in every way and seems like you forgot to implement half the features, if not all of them because right now this app is not even worth the small space it is occupying on the PS5 drive. Bring back chat (the whole point of twitch), the ability to go as far back as you want in vods and clips and all the other functionalities you removed without adding anything of value.
