How can we improve the console-based viewing experience?

Twitch Applications: Consoles: Xbox

Revert the twitch app update for xbox series

Change the app back to how it use to be on xbox series. It updated and it's horrible. Had to relog in. You have to scan a qr code to chat which is ridiculous. The categories are randomly scattered and in no order which you can't change. Categories and streams are surround by a blinding white box now and everything seems jumbled together. I swear a room full of 3 year Olds designed this new layout. NOTHING about it is better.

    @psych0_mantis

    First off, sweet name. Second. You used to be able to do something like that but Twitch removed it. People wanted it back but they didn't listen.

    @TWITCH #Twitch
    THERE'S NO REASON..... NONE........
    As to why you have an app for consoles yet lack the ability to do anything on those apps via directly on the consoles ..... #StupidDevs

    WHY THE **** DO YOU HAVE AN APPLICATION JUST TO WATCH A STREAM ON A CONSOLE I'M A CONSOLE STREAMER I WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHAT WITH MY CHAT AND MY COMMUNITY DIRECTLY FROM YOUR APPLICATION ON MY CONSOLE BUT FOR WHATEVER REASON YOU LACK THE CREATIVE DEVELOPERS TO ADD THE FEATURE IT'S BEEN LIKE 5 YEARS MAYBE LONGER THAN THAT!....

    hey at least the Xbox has an application that actually allows you to do something on it.... I don't know why there is even a twitch app for the PlayStation 5 because you literally can't do anything on it whether you're a streamer or a viewer all you can do is just sit there and watch you can't even talk in the chat

    It annoying that we can't use a keyboard to chat directly in the app on the Xbox. Not only that I cannot use my smartphone for anything else if I don't want to re-enter every time in the current chat room. My batteries also run out faster because the display stays on all the time.

    Rapported all spam. And of course, yes, the xbox app for twitch still sucks. How's everyone doing? :)

    To people legitimately contributing feedback to this topic: Thank you. I like alot of others am quite disappointed with the sudden lane-jump the Twitch app took some time ago for both Xbox and PS.

    It (the Twitch app for console) USED to be user-friendly, intuitive, and quite a go-to app for me on both consoles. Now it just makes me angry - and maybe a bit disgusted. It doesn't *seem* to be the work of the same people who helped make Twitch the appealing, accessible site that it once was. It's changing, and not necessarily for the better. It's unfortunate.

    Lastly; to the OP (original poster); there's an excessive amount of spam in this thread. If at all possible, I suggest disabling links for your topic - if that's even an option. To EVERYONE legitimately complaining about the Twitch app, if you see spam report it, please. I've been reporting it but nothing is being done. MAYBE if enough of us report it, the spam will be deleted.

    As for the main topic (Twitch app) and the garbage spam being deleted - We can only hope.

    - Tom
