  1. If you have a not very tall browser.
    And you request, a fair chunk of the oAuth scopes.

    When you redirect the user to Twitch.

    The Accept/Deny link page auto jumps down to the bottom of the page.

    This means the first few/most "dangerous" scopes as well as the application name/logo and whom you are logged in as are above the fold of the page.

    Basically "suggesting" to the user not to read all the scopes and just go accept/deny.

    The auto jump to bottom of the page should be removed.

  3. It has become difficult to obtain whats on the frontpage by region.

    Please provide an API to collect/obtain this data, it's useful for moderation to understand if/why we get a influx of viewers/chatters and can allocate additional bot rules/filters and/or moderation staff

  4. Well the idea is that the twitch drop works a little different than it's today, because it's so frustrating to see a friend that watches just 10 minutes of stream getting a item that you looked around 5 hours and open multiple streams to get the same item and it don't drop for you, I think the drop could at least consider the time that the person watch because like it works now and thatn situation happens is sorrowfull for some people

  5. Currently there's no way to get the status of a rerun stream, as /helix/streams only returns streams with the type "live" and "" (error)

    Adding reruns with its type set to "rerun" would allow it to return rerun streams as well.

    It's a problem that you can't get the status of a rerun stream because you then have no other choice than to treat it as offline, which means you e.g. may initiate a host, which will interfere with the stream.

  8. If you call GET https://api.twitch.tv/extensions/<client ID> you get a JSON back with the information about the extension. This is currently undocumented, but it would be a real useful took for discoverability and management, but being undocumented, it wouldn't be wise to use in a production environment. If this endpoint is planned to be kept, can it be added to the documentation for our use?

  10. Kraken allows you to set Game and Title.

    Helix allows you to set nothing.

    Aside from updating Helix to allow setting game and title, we'd like to be able to set the "Go Live Notification"

  12. The Get Clips API should include information of all deleted clips matching the current clips request too when used with a proposed deleted=true parameter. Limited to only the broadcaster themselves and maybe behind some appropriate scope too.

    Goal: detecting malicious, weird and creepy clipping behavior from people making clips, downloading them, and instantly deleting them which is a very common pattern that's currently almost impossible to detect for streamers.

    Sometimes streamers will accidentally show something they didn't mean to for a second, or say something that can be taken out of context, and some people are just weird and clip…

  13. The chat_moderator_actions topic in the PubSub documentation appears to only work with a broadcaster OAuth token. This prevents third-party modding tools that don't use some kind of centralized system from accessing information that is vital for effective modding (such as which mod performed an action, actions that aren't otherwise visible like unbans and viewing and approving messages filtered by AutoMod).

    With a centralized system the broadcaster could provide a token somehow that the moderators don't need to have access to directly, however with purely clientside tools this is not feasible. I'm also not sure why moderators should not have access…

  14. We currently have API's to

    • Upload Video
    • Collect videos into categorys
    • Update Stream title

    We do not have any API's to manage

    • Contents of a ReRun Playlist
    • Start a ReRun
    • Stop a ReRun

    I'd like those API's please.

  15. For the purposes of GDPR it would be useful to have the following webhooks:

    • When a Streamer installs an extension
    • When a streamer activates an extension
    • When a streamer deactivates an extension
    • When a streamer uninstalls an extension.

    The most important one is the uninstall, it allows us the third party to be notified of an uninstalled.

    The Shopify platform has this with the rule that a third party should, automatically delete all Store (and that stores customer data) 30 days after that hook triggers.

    We need/should do the same, delete any broadcaster, or broadcaster viewer (and subscribers) data 30…

  16. In the channel settings, you may specify a "profile accent color" to represent your brand.
    Right now, this isn't exposed in the API at all.

  18. The "This extension can view my subscriptions list." toggle, (in Manage Extension Permissions) doesn't do a check to see if the channel that the extension is installed upon, is eligible for Subscriptions at all.

    Wording should/could be changed to prevent broadcasters of type BLANK (as apposed to affiliate/partner), becoming confused.

    As they'll click the toggle, run the oAuth dialog and then the toggle is still off.

    On hitting the toggle, change the popup response from:

    "You have successfully authorized this extension to view your subscriber list!"

    To

    "You have successfully authorized this extension to view your subscriber list! But you…

  19. Hey. I know that people are requesting API for Channel Points. But I came up with better and easier idea.

    When streamer creates new reward in dashboard, there should be option to "run a link" in background after reward is redeemed. This type of button will trigger bot with GET-request and bot will run specific action.

    Why I think this approach is better than API:
    1. No API on Twitch side, obviosly.
    2. Bots won't be abble to control Channel Points directly.
    3. This will work with any bot who will support this kind of triggers.
    4. Easier to use…

  20. At the moment, we can only use local fonts or google font in extensions.
    I would be great to allow fonts from Adobe to be used too so we can use more fonts for our projects.

    The css link they give us
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.typekit.net/xxxxxxx.css">

    or

    <style>
    @import url("https://use.typekit.net/xxxxxxx.css");
    </style>
