Breakout chat rooms in large streams
As most of you may know, the chat in large twitch streams is usually an endless stream of copy pastas and capitalized spam. People who want to use the chat to, well, chat have no choice but to remain silent or be buried under the barrage. I usually chat with individual friends about matches being streamed live and just now got the idea of having multiple "breakout" chat rooms that will each house a fraction of the viewers. Of course, this should be optional since no one should be denied the traditional twitch chat experience but I think it could make a nice addition for people who want to chat seriously.

I believe this idea allows viewers to receive the channel experience that best suits them without having to leave a streamer that they enjoy watching, a simple drop down arrow where it says "stream chat" with 2/3 others such as a "questions" chat or "no spam" chat

This is very useful to allow people to actually be able to form connections over the Twitch platform. Kind of how Outlook works, you can view emails that have @mentioned you specifically so you can reply at your convenience.
Especially for Twitch streamers it might be useful.
If the chat gets too filled for a popular user - you can have a "clear messages" area.Perhaps subscribed users can have access to @mention a streamer to keep their messages not lost in a busy chatroom.
But from the perspective of regular non-streamers - it would prove to be useful non-clutter way to let a conversation continue.
This message sent via @Message will still be visible to all users- but it's filtered enough where two users can see previous messages tagged to each other to continue a conversation smoothely.

When you watch a stream with thousands of viewers, I'd like to be able to chat with users easier, but it scrolls by so fast that it's not even worth trying. My idea is to have a breakout window. If you get @mentioned, it goes in that breakout window. You could also just add users to that breakout so you'll always see what they are typing. It would make chat for large streams better. Also, if you have to look away for a second you won't miss anything.

I am a huge fan of this idea. On a previous streaming service I used, some streams had additional "quiet rooms" that were maxed out at 100 or 200 people. People could either join the main spammy huge chat, or they could join one of the quiet rooms to chat with a smaller group of people. This is partly implemented through the "rooms" feature, we'd just need a way to limit the number of people allowed to join a particular room.
As a more extensive feature, it'd be cool to be able to automatically add new quiet rooms when the existing quiet rooms are 80% full or something like that.

Steamers should have the option to auto-split the chat into smaller rooms. There could be a room for subs, and rooms for everyone else. The feature could be set to auto-split people in to rooms of a certain size.
