Fix the constant disconnecting of chat.
Getting a constant "Welcome to the chat room" message and not being able to interact with my chat as well as any other streamers is getting old. This issue has been around for 7 years at the least. It should be fixed by now

@maur1s Hi. What kind of vpn you used? many confuse for example browser proxy calling it vpn and full vpn client with installation and drivers on pc.

As I said, I ran the stream today with my VPN disabled.
I saw *not one* repeat of the "welcome to the chat room" message after the stream started.
I also watched another stream for about an hour and saw no repeats.
I then engaged the VPN and saw 4 in about 20 minutes. -

anyone using a VPN?
Next stream I'm going to try with my VPN turned off to see if this fixes the problem -

Twitch, I feel this has gone one so long that it is obvious that you will not be doing anything to address this issue. This gives an unfair disadvantage to streamers that are trying to build their stream but can't, because they lack the basic necessities such as reliable chat. I feel this in violation of our Affiliate agreement and plan on contacting an attorney for advise over this blatant disregard.

I have been getting this issue for some time. I have NEVER been banned from a stream to my knowledge and have NEVER been banned from my own stream. That being said, it makes it really hard to stream and have a fair chance when you don't even know your followers are talking to you because you keep getting disconnected from your own chat. There is no pause in the stream or the streams I watch just "Welcome to the Chat"
It's annoying to have to do but I have found that using Mix it up for your own stream I never get disconnected and I never get disconnected from any other stream platform chat either.

Started happening to me too about 3-4 weeks ago. Using Chrome browser.

This started happening to me about 2 weeks ago in my own chat while streaming, but I've also seen it in other streamer's chats now. I'm wondering if this could be related to the VPN which I got about two weeks ago, but even when I disable it the issue persists.

it's been happening to me for a few years now.
sometimes it goes away for a while, but it always comes back.
the worst is when you try to talk to support by opening a ticket, and they send you automated messages about a global chat ban. Something on spamming.
I don't even use the chat anymore, one message every 10 seconds at most. Most of the time I'm just monitoring my own stream. Still, disconnected and "Welcome to the chat!" shows up.

*bumping this issues as it's quite a pain, especially starting out as a new streamer.
Might have to try and switch my application or something or closing everything down so I'm not monitoring my own stream.. but it's very very annoying and would love to know if there is any sort of troubleshooting for this. Thanks

I am still getting that issue on my channel. Every single stream i get constant disconnects to chat. to a point where I miss people in my chat talking to me. That is pretty unacceptable, since it makes me look like i am ignoring my viewers, when in truth it is a technical issue.

I'm subscribed to a channel and it won't let me comment on anything, it just happens to me on that channel and I'm not banned, I had been subscribed for 2 months. Help me!
