I am still getting that issue on my channel. Every single stream i get constant disconnects to chat. to a point where I miss people in my chat talking to me. That is pretty unacceptable, since it makes me look like i am ignoring my viewers, when in truth it is a technical issue.

Hi all! We really appreciate all of the wonderful feedback and passion surrounding this topic. Reading through the comments, we wanted to clarify one point that may have caused confusion:

The purpose of this experiment with new directories is intended to better highlight broad groupings of content by bringing them together in directories where they wouldn’t be in direct competition with each other, increasing their exposure. In this way, creative content stands to have better exposure by being separated from gaming, etc. We will know better once the experiment concludes and we’re able to review the data in full.

That being said, through your feedback, we also recognize that the broad naming of the category as “IRL” doesn’t acknowledge that Creative and IRL content are distinct. We will be evaluating the results of the experiment to determine how we can continue to best support communities’ growth, while ensuring we are…

What was formerly known as Art/Creative on Twitch is at least as versatile if not far more so than Music. To throw it together with Chatting, ASMR or some such is a joke, to be honest.

The art community on Twitch contains from amateurs to professionals with international standing. From Animation to Illustration to Craft to Game Development, and much more.
Many people that stumble across a creative streamer are surprised to find something like that on Twitch. And often happy to do so. And stumble is pretty much the only way to find creative streams anymore as it is now.

People like seeing other people create. It inspires them to get creative themselves, to work alongside the stream, to find lost motivation again.
And the live interaction with the streamer brings the opportunity to ask questions and learn. Which is something I see a lot in Creative streams. And most artists are more than happy to do little impromptu tutorials for their viewers.

All that gets neglected by Twitch, although they once even promoted Creative streams with its own hashtag on Twitter and such.
I am sure they could reach a much wider audience if they made it easier to find art and creative streams on their platform.
