We apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

A majority of ads on web and TV apps should now have normalized sound. We are still continuing the work on this and will update the status again when it is fully complete!

Unpopular opinion, I don't see this working as much as people think.
Reason being is that the vast majority of people who request something like this on reddit, twitter and this page are streamers themselves. Every small streamer wants to grow their channel and are hyper focused on growing their channel, they are not gonna help out other small streamers grow their channels. They have their own channels to work on.
So at the end of the day, you have a whole section dedicated to small streamers trying to grow but the only people in said category are streamers, not viewers. The vast amount of viewers on twitch will not willing go to this category.
I would love to be wrong but I honestly believe putting yourself in a dedicated small stream category and using things like #smallstreamer is a hindrance to yourself.
